Renationalise the railways and energy companies.

Stoping any rises in pension age.

Taxing the top 5% to pay for oap social care.

No tax rises to people warning under 80k.

No to nuclear weapons.

Giving workers the right to strike.

Reverse legal aid cuts, giving the poorest people access to the legal system.

No target on immigration.

Banning driver only trains to keep the underground in safe hands.

Increased rights for the Roma.

Review of disability benefits changes.

Corbyn wants a 'nuclear free world'. Well, he's fucking deluded. He shouldn't even be suggesting it in the manifesto. What a loony.

TessTube · 12/05/2017 10:29

No he's not, committed to Trident in the manifesto.

If it sways floating voters about Foxes that's good though right? Hopefully she will announce a purge on kittens or hamsters soon.

Generally people aren't evil arseholes, and should think a good majority of Tory voters simply don't trust labour to run the economy - and the consequences that would have on disabled/low income families

I think it helps to think like that because we are heading for a landslide.

Hope we are not but that's were things seem to be now.

TessTube · 12/05/2017 10:32

Working towards a nuclear free world, can't see much wrong with that?

Dawndonnaagain · 12/05/2017 10:33

The Labour debt myth

ExplodedCloud · 12/05/2017 10:33

Renewing Trident is in the Labour Party manifesto Orange but dont let facts get in the way of your spleen venting.

wasonthelist · 12/05/2017 10:53

High rate tax earners will just move to places like the Channel Islands. No they won't.

SuperBeagle · 12/05/2017 10:58

What does Corbyn propose you do with the nuclear weapons you already have? Give them to someone else? I'm sure there are a few countries who'd willingly take them on.

BelleTheSheepdog · 12/05/2017 10:58

Raise taxes and well off people will employ accountants to minimise their tax, quite legally.

There will not be a linear relationship between a rising tax rate and tax collected.

On the numbers issue, when people are worried that increasing corporation tax will "drive out business" I'm genuinely baffled. The proposed increase just takes us back to where we were and it's still less than that lefty/ 'tax the rich' bastion the USA. Our rates of corporation tax even after labours so called radical proposal would still be less than the USA and Germany..

This. In spades.Lets's start worrying about an exodus of corporations when our rates of corporation tax start even getting close^ to other countries. But by far the biggest impact on corporations possibly leaving would be Brexit. You know, that omnishambles unleashed on the country by the Tories Hmm.

stubbornstains · 12/05/2017 11:16

Bad case of italics going feral there Hmm.

Orangebird69 · 12/05/2017 11:36

Exploded - I quote (from the manifesto);

Labour will lead multilateral efforts with international partners and the UN to create a nuclear free world.

Just fucking no.

Orangebird69 · 12/05/2017 11:38

TessTube, yeah, peace and love and all that. Kim Jong-un will be on board with that. Seems like a reasonable chap. Hmm

But it's so unrealistic and naive. Who wants a party leader/prime minister that even thinks it's a possibility or worth mentioning? Because it's neither.

Orangebird69 · 12/05/2017 12:01

lol at the certainty of posters like was that high earning rats won't leave the sinking ship.

it's happened before. it absolutely would happen again. only a moron would believe that JC would stop at one tax rise, when he started to run out of (other people's) money.

and when you make it unattractive for people to live somewhere, compared to other countries, they'll go. and they'll take their high earnings with them.

TessTube · 12/05/2017 12:31

"Working towards" no nuclear weapons Orange.

Yes?
