Come out, come out wherever you are!
I know it will mean you will be attacked and preached at, you will be told you are rich, uncaring and hate everyone except yourself, but will anyone stand with me and admit to planning on voting Conservative on June 8?
I can't be the only one surely? I didn't vote the Conservatives in by myself in 2015!

I'm in danger of labouring the point now, so I'll try and make this my last post on it.

But there is a real deep, abiding and heartfelt concern amongst the Jewish community about anti Semetism within the labour party and particularly with JC himself.

Yet when it's bought up there are generally two reactions. 1) that's ridiculous, how stupid, what a lazy trope, you're a plant, oh the anti Semetism card again, can't you think of something else to smear JC with
Or 2) a gentle, head tilty explanation of why we've got it all completely wrong, JC LOVES Jewish people and actually ots not our fault but we've been brainwashed by right wing MSM.

It's extremely wearing. No, we aren't plants or running a smear campaign or thick. Please accept our lived experiences, and if you want our vote, apologise and explore the issue. Unfortunately I do not believe JC can adequately separate in his mind Jewish people, Israel, Zionism and expansion so I cannot vote for him.

NC4T · 10/05/2017 13:41

Sea, just seen your post..... no, my previous post wasn't directed at you. More at fanjo if anyone specific but also a general point.

TinselTwins · 10/05/2017 13:42

NC4T seriously give it up
You just need to realise that the only people capable to see past spin and make their own judgements are Corbyn supporters.
You're not qualified dear.

Notanotherelection · 10/05/2017 13:46

Corbyn supporters think Corbyn will win the election.

Thry don't see they are he see wreaking the Labour Party and condemning the most needy to another 5 years of Tory rule with a huge majority.

That's because they are cleverer than the rest of us old labour voters. Sad

I don't think that concerns around anti-semetism are purely a facade with which to smear JC or Labour [although it is within the realms of possibility that some might be]... similarly I don't believe that these concern result purely from brainwashing from MSM [although MSM is quick to jump on any suggestion of anti-semetism in the Labour Party and fill their front page with it].

I 100% accept your lived experience if you say you have directly experienced anti-semetism within the Labour Party. If this is the case I hope you feel able to report it and have it processed via the proper channels and you should be able to expect that it is taken seriously and action taken against those who perpetrated it.

TessTube · 10/05/2017 13:51

It should be in the papers though no Sea?

You can't expect it to be ignored in case it looks like it might be a criticism of Corbyn Confused

TessTube · 10/05/2017 13:51

Theres quite clearly an issue there. Labour need to sort it out.

Enko · 10/05/2017 13:54

As a EU citizen I cant vpte however I know dd1 and dh will not be voting labour. Not did I in the recent local election.

kirinm · 10/05/2017 13:54

Will the fact the IMF have come out and confirmed Labour's proposed policies add up financially change anyone's mind? Nope, of course it won't.

The Tories haven't even set out their policies let alone how they intend to fund them other than the fox hunting but that's irrelevant. They don't need to because they're 'good with the economy' 🙄

NC4T · 10/05/2017 13:54

Well you say all that Sea, but then when Ruth Smeeth said her lived experience was that she was a recipient of anti semitic remarks you said that was nonsense?

More fool them Enko. The Tories don't give a shit about you and you will be used as a pawn in Brexit negotiations.

SeaWitchly · 10/05/2017 13:56

I didn't say that it shouldn't be reported Tess.
And when has any MSM ignored a potential criticism of Jeremy Corbyn?Grin.

I mean really, any whiff of potential scandal or wrong doing and away they go with their front page headlines and self righteous commentary.

What I am saying is that I also read the reports of comments made to Ruth Smeeth being anti-semetic. I disagree that they were.

TessTube · 10/05/2017 13:58

I know he has bad press, but come on, he dosent help himself in that regard does he?

The worst they got on Ed was him chowing down on a bacon sarnie.

SeaWitchly · 10/05/2017 13:59

Well Ruth Smeeth believed the comment made was anti-semetic.
Doesn't make her right though.

TessTube · 10/05/2017 14:00

I'm not sure it's for us to say that Sea.

NC4T · 10/05/2017 14:05

This is unbelievable.

You do realise that anti semetism is racism don't you? That it is as bad as any other type of racism?

I cannot imagine that a black person complaining of racism within an organisation and that of its leader would be called a plant, sneered at for raising a trope, told they are being brainwashed, gently explained at that actually the leader didn't mean it that way anyway. That another black person who felt on the end of a racist remark was wrong, the remark wasn't racist. May I ask what is different about Jewish people and anti semetism that you feel you can discuss it in this way?

Oblomov17 · 10/05/2017 14:05

Not really. Cant stand conservative, May and her brexit, and NHS and Disabilty. But do I really want Labour, ineffective Corbyn instead? Not really. I don't want any of them. Any of the personalities, any of the policies.

SeaWitchly · 10/05/2017 14:06

How has he not helped himself Tess?
Oh yes, he has been photgraphed looking a bit scruffy... oh and facing a crowd to address them when the TV cameras were pointing the other way...

Meanwhile we have had Boris johnson getting stuck on a zip wire and Theresa May gurning at small children...

and who is at the other end of the TV cameras?
US! that's who!
He detests all except his already loyal adorers.

NC4T · 10/05/2017 14:12

It's an ongoing and wide ranging pattern of incidents and remarks
