Come out, come out wherever you are!
I know it will mean you will be attacked and preached at, you will be told you are rich, uncaring and hate everyone except yourself, but will anyone stand with me and admit to planning on voting Conservative on June 8?
I can't be the only one surely? I didn't vote the Conservatives in by myself in 2015!

Well I'm a teacher so I blooming well don't!

SquidgeyMidgey · 10/05/2017 21:39

Most people aren't 100% any party, and that means voting for some things you don't agree with.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 10/05/2017 21:39

Have the Tories said there shall be more cuts I'm not sure

But to win an election you need to look like you have workable proposals plus a competent leader labour have neither

Current Conservative spending plans have pretty deep cuts continuing year on year until 2020.

OMG the shit storm has really hit the fan. I have just seen the Labour party manifesto. Its mental. Even the left wing Mirror paper is slating it.

How can any sane Labour MP stay in the party. Corbyn is about to try and destroy the UK. Hundreds of Billions just popping into existence like its nothing. FFS, vote Lib Dem vote Tory. Run from JC he is insane.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 10/05/2017 23:01

I wonder how this got leaked

Steady on. I am failing to find any basis for this sort of assertion.

Financial Times says " The document has been put together by Andrew Fisher, a “hard left” former PCS official who is now Mr Corbyn’s head of policy. Mr Fisher wrote a book two years ago in which he voiced support for nationalising all banks and — perhaps — all private land. "

I suggest any mumsnetter who owns a flat or house or plans to buy one perhaps votes Conservative this time round.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 11/05/2017 08:47

Increase in business tax will also impact costs so an increase in prices of services and products

I guess those working in the public sector with our huge wage increases we can expect to be getting it won't matter as we shall have lots of spare cash

And that little annoying issue of Brexit that Jeremy will not waste his precious time talking about apparently as it's a done deal doesn't need to be factored in to these proposals and there was me thinking it's the biggest issue our country is facing silly silly me

makeourfuture · 11/05/2017 09:35

Mr Fisher wrote a book two years ago in which he voiced support for nationalising all banks

Well we should be at least in on the action; God knows we have given them a blank check for whatever losses they can manage. Too big to fail my a$$...

And listen, corporations benefit from well-educated, healthy people and stable safe communities. And good roads and infrastructure. And the military. And apparently paying their employees too.

Just as we all do, they benefit. And just as we do, they should contribute.

A now deceased friend of mine once had a conversation with the late Tony Benn arguing that banks should be nationalised (my friend liked a heated debate). Tony Benn thought this was a step too far.
Would Tony Benn be a Red Tory these days?Grin

ExplodedCloud · 11/05/2017 10:12

Rad there's a big gulf between nationalising all banks and having one publicly owned bank though?
