Come out, come out wherever you are!
I know it will mean you will be attacked and preached at, you will be told you are rich, uncaring and hate everyone except yourself, but will anyone stand with me and admit to planning on voting Conservative on June 8?
I can't be the only one surely? I didn't vote the Conservatives in by myself in 2015!

The effects of immigration on the NHS is vastly underplayed.
Absolutely.
Without immigrants the NHS would have collapsed a long time ago.

That is why immigration will stay exactly the same after Brexit unless the economy tanks.
If you think Brexit will cut immigration to need to read more.

Tinhatsallround · 07/05/2017 15:26

I'll be voting SNP. Labour have lost my vote.

BollardDodger · 07/05/2017 15:27

I think Labour should win just so I can laugh at the country totally fucked to smithereens.

TheMonkeyandthePlywoodViolin · 07/05/2017 15:29

Just wait for brexit

Well again it is not just Tory ineptitude - and sweet lord are they inept - but the awful ideology.

Holding hands with Trump....

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 07/05/2017 15:38

Brexit will have a very interesting effect on the already slightly unsteady Euro currency countries.

Downtheroadfirstonleft · 07/05/2017 16:08

I'm voting Conservative.

There are a large number of doctors and nurses amongst the parents of my dc's school. Most say they are voting Conservative. Labour won't protect the NHS, they will bankrupt the country and there won't be any money to spend on it.

Zhan · 07/05/2017 16:11

Conservative here. Makes me laugh on mumsnet - if you "admit" you're a Tory you get laughed at, jeered, told you're ill educated, a snob, selfish etc etc ... yet if it was announced tomorrow that the UK was no longer a democracy, everyone would be up in arms saying people should be able to vote for whoever they want! Ridiculous. I'm not ashamed of my vote.

Zhan · 07/05/2017 16:12

P.s - I'm an NHS working Tory. Labour have lovely ideas but I'm yet to hear how they plan to actually finance them.

MissEliza · 07/05/2017 16:18

I've never been a Labour supporter but I've at least been able to respect those in charge over the last few decade, even if I don't agree with their policies. However JC and his cronies aren't fit to run the country. Diane Abbot is a fucking joke and you want her to run one of the most important departments in government, Op? Jesus.Shock

TheMonkeyandthePlywoodViolin · 07/05/2017 16:19

Boris Johnson

khajiit13 · 07/05/2017 16:25

I've always been a labour supporter but I don't trust Jeremy Corban to get us through credit. So labour vote for me this time, I won't be voting conservative either.

jackny · 07/05/2017 16:25

I am voting Conservative. I think they are the best party for this country & Theresa May will make a strong PM. Jeremy can run a protest group but couldn't run the country. He has no grasp of the country's finances & has links terrorist groups.

milliemolliemou · 07/05/2017 16:28

I'll be voting. And then I'll be arguing for mandatory voting and proportional representation. It seems ridiculous that most of us live in constituencies where our votes do not count. There are a max of 100 seats where voters might affect the outcome - out of 650. I know this could mean losing direct contact with the MP, and getting one who doesn't know the area - but then we should be using our councillors more.
And mandatory voting. Definitely.

makeourfuture · 07/05/2017 16:40

Boris Johnson

Absolutely.

SeaWitchly · 07/05/2017 16:46

I find it astonishing that anyone would consider voting Conservative.

It is ridiculous to accuse Jeremy Corbyn of anti-semitism and links to terrorist groups, absolute tosh, and to use this as justification for voting in the party that has tripled the national debt, cut disability benefit for the most vulnerable in our society, offer tax breaks for the wealthiest whilst cutting education budgets, perpetrated election fraud [ongoing investigation and convenient timing for calling a GE], failed to negotiate with junior doctors, etcHmm

SeaWitchly · 07/05/2017 16:52

And how can anyone who works in the NHS not be absolutely apoplectic over what that institution has become under the Tory regime?
Really, I'm dying to hear how their working life or the health of their patients has been bettered as a result of Tory austerity and the inability of the Health Minister to actually listen to and act upon the recommendations of the people who work on the ground... not their rich chums a la Richie Branson who want to privatise the crap out of it for their own financial benefit.

TreeTop7 · 07/05/2017 17:03

I don't know anyone who's voting Labour other than a few Facebook acquaintances. A couple of civil servant friends were Lab in 2015, but are uncertain now. A number of city-dwelling lefty Guardian types have moved towards LibDem. Doctor friends all vote Cons and always did. All the accountants (I am one) who've discussed their vote with me will vote Cons. A Welsh-speaking university friend who lives in Aberystwyth will vote Plaid as usual but she quite likes T.May.

Anon213 · 07/05/2017 17:21

So JC is going to put a modest tax rise on those earning over £80,000. Hmmm how much will that raise, it might actually lose the country money. How the hell will he pay for the tens of Billions of pounds he is throwing around every time he opens his mouth. I dont know how anyone with an IQ above 80 could ever vote for Jeremy. Its just WTF

HelenaDove · 07/05/2017 17:22

Cathf I got a hell of a lot of abuse on your previous "left wingers are nasty" thread But as im not right wing i guess that doesnt count. Hmm

YY Monkey re wind up the left wing and call them nasty when they stand up for themselves.
Tory supporters behaving like school bullies. I think there is a correlation because most of the ones who did bully me at school now vote Tory.

And the disabilism upthread also came from a Tory supporter.

HelenaDove · 07/05/2017 17:29

Im also wondering how the feminists who plan to vote Tory can square the circle with the cuts to domestic abuse services and the tax credits rape clause.

TalkinPeece · 07/05/2017 17:37

It is ridiculous to accuse Jeremy Corbyn of anti-semitism and links to terrorist groups, absolute tosh,
No its not. Its well documented and he's never denied it.

Really, so he's admitted to being anti-semetic and having links to terrorist organisations?
Yes, I'm sure this opinion is 'well documented' by right wing media but that doesn't make it fact. Indeed it is well documented that he did enter into talks with terrorist organisations but so have other, Conservative, politicians, Margaret Thatcher for one.
