Come out, come out wherever you are!
I know it will mean you will be attacked and preached at, you will be told you are rich, uncaring and hate everyone except yourself, but will anyone stand with me and admit to planning on voting Conservative on June 8?
I can't be the only one surely? I didn't vote the Conservatives in by myself in 2015!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 07/05/2017 12:17

I first voted in 1979. I admit I will be voting Tory for the first time ever in a Westminster election. I have previously voted Tory in Holyrood elections.

Theresa May can thank Sturgeon for Sturgeon's help and Corbyn for his ineffectiveness in securing my vote.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 07/05/2017 12:30

We have high welfare standards in the EU which we must carry forwards

My understanding is the UK has higher welfare standards than many EU countries, not that we had to raise them to meet EU standards.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 07/05/2017 12:42

Labour won't win they will not gain more seats either

I would rather May leading the way with Brexit negotiations than Corbyn and there is nothing else to choose from. I don't want a Tory government with a large majority for the next five years but that is what we are for to get

Thanks to Corbyn and his team and supporters what great work you have all done for those you claim to care so much about Hmm still power to the people and all that

KillDora · 07/05/2017 12:52

I should be voting labour really.

I'm disabled, have disabled dc and survive only because they state pays us benefits. The Tory's have made this a living nightmare, having to keep getting assessed for lifelong, non curable disabilities.

I'm worried about my dc's school, the Tory cuts mean they will lose 14 teachers.

But I'm voting, for the first time, title the Tory's.

Because the level of immigration has made our lives much more difficult.

We can't get a doctors appointment, it's usually a 3/4 week wait.

My aunt who works the reception says they're are a majority of days where there are no English speaking patients. This has been true on the days when we have been.

My DF has really struggled to find work (building trade) because there are always men willing to work longer hours for a minuscule wage.

I have been racially abused by a lot of the Romanian men who congreagate around by my dc's school. They live to use the 'n' word.

No doubt I'll be called an idiot and a racist for doing this. But I'll vote and do anything to try and stop all of this.

Even vote against my own best interests to get a hard brexit.

AppearingNormal · 07/05/2017 12:59

I don't think you're an idiot KillDora. I have a disabled child and spend time in hospital a lot. The effects of immigration on the NHS is vastly underplayed.

deblet · 07/05/2017 13:02

I am voting Tory. I have never voted Tory always Labour but will not be responsible for the shame of that man being Prime Minister. He is an embarrassment. I have a disabled son who I will have to fight to get PIP and worry for his future but Corbyn is a step to far.

yikesanotherbooboo · 07/05/2017 13:04

I have never been as depressed about the choices offered as I am in this GE ,
Jc and his team are showing no signs of being capable of government .. i.e. Managing a budget , having a plan for public services, stance on Brexit ....
TM seems have got completely carried away with the power of brexit and is not seemingly acting in the interests of the majority on any front.
Libdems are too far behind the curve to provide a significant opposition or modifying influence on the tories.
I will vote ( wouldn't consider not doing so) and will probably vote lib dem...
where I live greens/ lab are for protest votes that you don't really want to count.... we have a good conservative MP but as a natural lab voter I can't bring myself to put a cross in the Con box

KillDora · 07/05/2017 13:07

Thank you AppearingNormal

I know quite a few people locally who are in the same position and are voting Tory for the first time.

But I voted leave too so don't tend to admit that on mn as it means I am the equivalent of Satan or just stupid

LittleNellsDog · 07/05/2017 13:20

Some interesting responses Hmm

playingwithwords · 07/05/2017 13:33

I'm afraid you're not going to get improvements you want via the Conservatives, killdora.

If in doubt thoroughly research your local candidates and choose based on merit, regardless of the party.

TinselTwins · 07/05/2017 13:34

But I will vote green. I know nothing about their policies
Hopefully you're a man or a transwoman then, because in an effort to fall over themselves to be "inclusive" they have basically erased women, some canvassers apparently going as far as to chuck women into the category of "non-males" as "women" is not a contentious term apparently

fuck that I will never vote for them again (have in the past)

I'm sick to fuck of being told that if I don't like Corbyn I'm being led by the media. The type of contempt he shows for other human beings in footage of him is not edited in. He has zero time for anyone who questions him. He treats reporters as if they're sub human, when they're just hard working citizens like anyone else and he's supposed to be "for the people"

TinselTwins · 07/05/2017 13:36

"not" = now

Corbyn has no basic courtesy or humility. The man scares me
And no, I don't mean he lacks a plummy posh accent and Eton frills, I mean BASIC civil human interaction. I'm terrified of him

ethanrayne · 07/05/2017 13:52

Conservative all the way here but if my Facebook feed is anything to go by JC will be storming through victory

ethanrayne · 07/05/2017 13:55

To*

AppearingNormal · 07/05/2017 13:55

Yes Tinsel I'd never vote Green for the same reasons.

TinselTwins · 07/05/2017 13:55

Conservative all the way here but if my Facebook feed is anything to go by JC will be storming through victory

Judging by my facebook labour supporters

AppearingNormal · 07/05/2017 13:59

It's arrogance versus a corporate puppet. This is such an honest thread. I wish those we are voting for or not would bloody listen.

RedMetamorphosis · 07/05/2017 14:43

Voting Tory.

Even though my personal circumstances are affected by one of their policies, I am voting for who I think will do best for the country, rather than for just me.

I have just moved into a very strong Labour area, so my vote will not "count", but I will still vote Conservative.

TinselTwins · 07/05/2017 14:54

TalkinPeece

Yes I agree and also I feel that labours "thresholds" are incredibly divisive, and I don't earn anywhere near them myself!

I am also bored of labourites jumping down the throat of anyone who says that those thresholds aren't super rich!. NO I don't thin 80k is "poor", yes I know that people are on a fraction of that (I am!), but I also acknowledge that 80k is in the ballpark of our local specialist doctors etc, and NOT anywhere near the range of fat cat tax dodgers. I don't actually want our local 80k earners "punished" with glee. That doesn't mean that I have "no idea" what poverty is either

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 07/05/2017 14:57

I'm not voting for labour but not sure who I will vote for yet.

TalkinPeece · 07/05/2017 15:01

The Tories lie that they care about the poor.
They do not.
They just want to cut taxes for the rich.

Labour lie that they care about the poor.
They do not
They just want to demonise the other rich

Corbyn has never worked a day in his life outside politics, Unite members bought Len McCluskey a £400,000 flat in central London. The NUM still pay Arthur Scargill's living costs

None of the party leaders inspire any confidence.

Theresa May and Brexit are the problem
Corbyn is not the solution.

TinfoilHattie · 07/05/2017 15:03

I don't want Labour to win. They are a joke at present, in total disarray with a muppet for a leader and the front bench isn't much better.

More than that though I loathe the SNP with a passion so I will be voting Lib Dem because they are the party with the best chance of beating the SNP in my constituency.

paddypants13 · 07/05/2017 15:05

I don't want any of the buggers in. My family are traditional labour voters and are all over FB saying if you say you won't vote labour because of JC you're basically right wing. I understand that you don't vote for a PM directly but do I want a party who voted him as leader in power? No, I do not. I'm going to have to decide who is the lesser of several evils.

Dragongirl10 · 07/05/2017 15:07

Frilly ....you made me howl with laughter!

Have always voted Conservative but never more commited than now...
