Tell me honestly if this is normal for an 18 yr old girl. I'm so completely done with telling her to tidy her room. Sorry the photo is sideways.

I did see the original photo and thought it was quite tidy.

My 15 year olds room was minging. Despite banning food and drink up there I still found mouldy food and glasses of chunky milk.

I think she got fed up with the mess though as recently she's started tidying up, only baby steps - putting rubbish in the bin instead of on the floor, dirty washing in the basket, wardrobe not floordrobe but it's better than it was.

Ive never understood this, as teens mine and my siblings rooms were never on such a state; my brothers was worse than others, but all 4 of us had pretty clean and tidy rooms Confused

Annie it's not that tidy! I could live with a room like the one in the pic you posted. But as I've said, MN has spoken and I'll admit IBU. I feel so much better now you've all said IBU as I can relax now. I've tidied it a bit at DD's request, put all her dirty underwear in the wash and shut the door.

One thing though- before you close the door, do make sure th y qr actually happy with it the way it is. My dd used to get so overwhelmed with hers that she couldn't do anything about it. We sometimes used to do a trade off- I'd tidy it while she did some of the jobs I usually do. Ds is quite happy to live in a guddle, but can and does tidy it if he wants to so I leave him to it.
