Is his weird?

I'm normally quite cold in my office so tend to just keep my coat on all day at work - is this weird? It's a nice trench coat but I feel like it is actually quite strange to do this! I work inside...

Yes it's odd! Wear layers or ask management to sort out heating

KinkyAfro · 03/05/2017 20:14

Turn the heating up?

MunchMunch · 03/05/2017 20:15

If you are inside then sort of (I'd do it though) what about a nice cardi?

unicornpoopoop · 03/05/2017 20:16

I never take my coat off in work... Unless I go to the toilet

TwentyCups · 03/05/2017 20:16

Yes I would find it a bit strange. Is it a smart office code that prevents jumpers and cardigans? If so I would stick a vest or thermal top on.

AfroBrown · 03/05/2017 20:16

I worked with a guy once who kept his leather bomber jacket on all the time. Even in summer Smile

SheSaidHeSaid · 03/05/2017 20:17

Yeah, it's a little odd.

Is there some medical reason why you could always be cold when others aren't?

Could you try wearing thermals and added layers? It can't be nice to be at a desk (presumably) working wearing a coat.

NoCapes · 03/05/2017 20:17

Yes very wierd
But a cardi!

NoCapes · 03/05/2017 20:17

Buy* not but

MrsELM21 · 03/05/2017 20:18

Yep, weird! What job do you do? Do you just sit at your desk in your coat or do you do something else?

I too join the chorus of 'buy a cardi!' Grin

HappyLollipop · 03/05/2017 20:20

Yeah it's a bit odd, you should invest in some thicker jumpers or just layer on more clothes.

Nakedavenger74 · 03/05/2017 20:21

I have an intense dislike for outdoor coats worn indoors. I don't know why but it makes me irrationally angry! It feels almost disrespectful in some way which is ridiculous but I can't put my finger on why I hate it so much.
I once nearly blew my top at a party of three elderly people eating in a restaurant in their anoraks. It wasn't cold. I was seething!

ApocalypseNowt · 03/05/2017 20:22

Do you have clothes on under your trench coat?

ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:32

Ok it's not exactly a trench coat, it's just like a thin camel-coloured coat that doesn't button up - I always have a dress on underneath! Kind of like a warmer lounge cardigan?! Still weird?

OP posts:
ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:33

*warmer longer

OP posts:
ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:34

Why is it weird?!

OP posts:
Penguin27 · 03/05/2017 20:35

Not weird! I have a blanket on my desk that I'm permanently wrapped up in Grin

ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:35

I work with two men in a tiny office, im paranoid now re what they're thinking!

OP posts:
ethanrayne · 03/05/2017 20:36

No my office is freezing, all the women keep a cardigan in office in August for this reason

4yoniD · 03/05/2017 20:37

People in my office wearing knitted scarves and fingerless gloves. Looks odd but they are the warm ones!

AgentProvocateur · 03/05/2017 20:38

I'd think it was weird, sorry. But a blanket is weirder (unless you work from home). It's just not very professional - I would feel uneasy sharing a room with someone wearing a coat. It's like you're getting ready to leave at any minute! Get a cardigan or something.

ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:39

Argh ok fair enough. I feel strange now! Awkward that they haven't said anything!!! I've been doing it for the past week as has been chilly - will stop

ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:41

OP posts:
RainbowJack · 03/05/2017 20:43

Why? Maybe they don't give a shit.

ImAHeartbreaker · 03/05/2017 20:44
