Corbyn is lovely, why the negativity?

Really, why?
Just because he's a bit different in his presentation. He in principled and compassionate, I for one wish he would become the PM.

Pity that (almost) the only person to come on the thread to say she thought he would be a wonderful PM failed to return and respond as to WHY she thinks that. I would really love someone who passionately believes in Corbyn to actually come out with specific, tangible reasons why they do.

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:35

Trust me Run, I've had this on my local Labour Party page on Farcebook.

NevermetaGilesIlike · 18/04/2017 15:38

It's time Harriet Harman had a crack.

ArcheryAnnie · 18/04/2017 15:38

For all the anti-Corbyn lot, who do you think you are going to vote for? I'm particularly interested if you were previously a Labour voter.

I will still be a Labour voter, despite the fact I loathe Corbyn, because I am 100% certain my sitting Labour MP loathes Corbyn, too.

Since most of the parliamentary party, according to fairly credible reports, loathes Corbyn, any of you who don't want to support Corbyn are still pretty safe voting for your local Labour MPs. (Unless your local Labour MPs are John McDonnell or Diane Abbott, in which case, good luck.)

Batgirlspants · 18/04/2017 15:39

Harriet or Yvette but think labour too mysogynistic to tolerate a woman. Shamefully.

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:41

Because all Conservatives are good, sensible and talented politicians? NoLotterey

Ah, well, perhaps you could make this up.

I've no doubt, having been on the ground during the hustings, that there are good, sensible and talented politicians on all sides. They don't get to stand for MP unless they can prove the mettle. There are those though, who get through with ne'er a regard for others. One of those is, unfortunately, Corbyn (along with loads of Tory MPs in the Shires)

Batgirlspants · 18/04/2017 15:41

I don't know Archery I really don't. Wish to god he would do the decent thing and resign now

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:42

I shall renew my membership after your post ArcheryAnne

NevermetaGilesIlike · 18/04/2017 15:42

Also Mary Creagh.

ShatnersWig · 18/04/2017 15:43

There was me earlier saying Alan Johnson was probably the best leader Labour never had and he's just come out to say he's standing down and not seeking re-election at this one.

So that's two Labour MPs already saying they're going.

ghostyslovesheets · 18/04/2017 15:43

I will still vote Labour and I will door knock and leaflet and try and defend him - because I still believe in the party and what it stands for - plus there isn't a real alternative - I wont vote for a party that targets the poor!

NoLotteryWinYet · 18/04/2017 15:44

i can't see how the labour party is ever going to get rid of him without a huge electoral drubbing causing the party membership to vote him down though. I don't think JC will go until he's forced out by members, that seems pretty clear at this point.

flyingwithwings · 18/04/2017 15:51

Sorry to tell you this 'Mary Creagh' is going Wakefield is only about no 30 out of the 75-80 seats labour are on course to lose !

NevermetaGilesIlike · 18/04/2017 15:52

Boo! She's an underused asset.

Giddyaunt18 · 18/04/2017 15:57

I think Corbyn seems a lovely man, a decent principled man but he just can't cut it as PM. He hasn't got any charisma. May comes over very well, strong and calm and collected.

BartholinsSister · 18/04/2017 15:59

Poor old Mr.Corbyn is so disorganized not only does he end up having to travel by train, but also has to sit on the floor!
Hardly the kind of successful statesman we want confidently striding the world stage representing our interests.

cdtaylornats · 18/04/2017 16:01

You get austerity with the Tories now or absolute grinding poverty with Corbyn a couple of years down the road

Elendon · 18/04/2017 16:02

May is no more calm and collected than an elf on Christmas Eve. As for strong? She is not principled, unlike Corbyn, she has a face like a town clock.

Cutesbabasmummy · 18/04/2017 16:03

He has absolutely no charisma at all and looks very scruffy! I wouldn't want him to represent the UK on the world stage. Trump (ugh) would eat him for breakfast!

Headofthehive55 · 18/04/2017 16:03

May does come accross as strong and steady. I trust her more than Corbyn to be sensible. Odd though it may sound not being a Tory.

iloveeverykindofcat · 18/04/2017 16:04

a pot smoking, 1970s teacher, who calls his pupils 'People' thinks Che, Lenin and Lennon were god like

I had this guy for A-Level English. I liked him though. He had a Beatles poster on his wall and loaned me Catcher in The Rye

fruitlovingmonkey · 18/04/2017 16:05

I wouldn't trust him to make me a cup of tea, never mind run the country.

Of course I have no evidence, but he looks the type to be stingy with the teabags and have a limp- wristed stir.

juneau · 18/04/2017 16:06

Corbyn would be a fucking disaster as a PM. However, when it comes to the election vote for the local MP who best represents your interests and opinions. Remember that you're voting to return one MP to parliament to represent your local area. The PM can and does change (sometimes in a heartbeat - just look at DC's abrupt exit), but your MP is there to represent you for five years. Focus on that.

uglyflowers · 18/04/2017 16:07

You're all focusing on the hatred for Corbyn when the Tories are systematically killing off the poor and the disabled in this country and are in bed with the Saudis. They are also currently being investigated for electoral fraud. So yes, you all witter on about Corbyn's suits and how he talked to terrorists but don't come crying when the NHS is written off in the next 4 years and your kids are in a class of 40.

NoLotteryWinYet · 18/04/2017 16:10

ehow about the labour party gets a better leader that can get elected? Corbyn is the problem, he's the one letting the tories get away with this because he is not competent enough to get himself elected. If he loses, it'll be his fault for not having sensible policies. It doesn't mean nobody has a right to complain.
