Corbyn is lovely, why the negativity?

Really, why?
Just because he's a bit different in his presentation. He in principled and compassionate, I for one wish he would become the PM.

Well it should have been Yvette Cooper. But Labour have always had a bit of a problem when it comes to voting in women in high positions.

Old Labour is misogynistic. It really is. What I don't understand is all the adulation that some Labour women have for Corbyn. What has he ever done for women?

Batgirlspants · 18/04/2017 15:00

He's a selfish twat who is enjoying the attention and power a party leader gets and deluded if he thinks labour can run under him. I actually don't believe he cares as he's not really a labour believer.

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:01

I voted for Yvette Cooper as leader and Stella Creasy as deputy.

Batgirlspants · 18/04/2017 15:01

yes Elendon agree

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:02

I can't remember the second ballot. It certainly wasn't Corbyn.

NoLotteryWinYet · 18/04/2017 15:03

JC is a career politician, that's for sure. He's done absolutely nothing out of politics. I agree a principled man who's priority was protecting the poor would've recognized he can't do it rather than calling their own party members disloyal and traitors.

Hmmm, shades of John Major? I remember he called his own party bastards for not backing him enough...

NigellasGuest · 18/04/2017 15:06

I would not want him on the world stage representing this country.

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:06

Sorry, just remembered I voted for Smith.

Anon1234567890 · 18/04/2017 15:07

What I don't understand is all the adulation that some Labour women have for Corbyn. What has he ever done for women? Confused

He took Diane Abbot on a motorbike trip around East Germany!

Batgirlspants · 18/04/2017 15:09

Love to see the back of Dianne Abbot. Patronising hypocrite

Hoppinggreen · 18/04/2017 15:18

Let's assume he is " lovely " which I really don't believe for a second.
Still doesn't mean he is capable of running a country.

Slarti · 18/04/2017 15:19

What's wrong with him? Well, he doesn't hate the disabled, the poor, nurses, children, old people or foreigners, does he?

NoLotteryWinYet · 18/04/2017 15:20

perhaps he does, he isn't resigning to let someone with a chance of getting elected have a crack at the party he's leading to the oblivion. He's doing a piss-poor job of representing their interests.

ShatnersWig · 18/04/2017 15:22

Slarti Can say that about lots of people, politicians and non-politicians.
Doesn't mean they are capable of running the country though.

anahata · 18/04/2017 15:22

He has zero leadership skills. I doubt he could lead my dog to a bone.

mummymeister · 18/04/2017 15:23

slarti - but he does hate Jewish people, women and anyone who disagrees with him.

if he loves the groups you list so much then why doesn't he see he is unelectable and fall on his sword for the good of the country. that's what a caring person would do surely?

I went to at least 2 meetings in London where Corbyn spoke against the EU in very vehement terms. this makes him a liar. He is lying about his pro-EU credentials. he wanted out of the EU all the time.

he has no proper costed policies.

Batgirlspants · 18/04/2017 15:24

whats wrong with him

He failed to share the platform with Cameron to make the case for remain.

He fails consistently to even appear to be capable of running the country.

He blames everyone else for his failings and he's thin skinned and conceited.

He supported the violent actions of a terrorist organisation and failed to control the anti semites in his party.

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:25

Slarti, I would say he has no interest in them because he is ineffectual as an opposition leader. He hasn't stopped the cuts to all you listed happening, has he. All he cares about is himself being leader.

ghostyslovesheets · 18/04/2017 15:26

he is completely failing to get his and our message across - and that is his job

he failed over Brexit and he'll fail us in the election

He refuses to play the 'media game' and rises above it - this failing to have a platform for his ideas - he's not selling Labour - he sees it as beneath him almost to engage with the press or the common folk

He is an intellectual socialist - nowt wrong with that - but his failure to translate his ideals into something people understand and will vote for is unforgivable

He doesn't seem to understand the real world - in that respect he's no different to many other careerist MP's

I blame him for damning us to another 5 years of tory rule

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 18/04/2017 15:27

He's no leader. He's like a teenager still - he only ever wants to rebel against things not actually do anything positive.

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:28

He does have interest in all those Labour women who adulate him though.

Creep.

AgainstTheOddsNo2 · 18/04/2017 15:29

He is principled but, unfortunately, utterly and obviously delusional.

It is obvious there is not enough money for him to follow through on his ideas without crushing the economy in the long term. The man needs a plan.

It is also unfortunate that Tim Farron lacks the personality of Nick Clegg. As I think the lib dems will miss the ideal opportunity to come storming through the middle. Thus leaving us with a Tory government long term, the death of the NHS aNO a crushed education system and public sector!

Elendon · 18/04/2017 15:32

Principled over what?

He spouts the same old shite all the time and thinks that should be enough.

I'm beginning to think he hates the Labour Party.

RunRabbitRunRabbit · 18/04/2017 15:32

slarti Are you seriously suggesting that anyone who dislikes Corbyn as Labour leader hates nurses?

NoLotteryWinYet · 18/04/2017 15:34

the thing is, there are only so many talented policians - even if the lib dems suddenly had 40% wanting to vote for them, they haven't got that many really good MPs. We'd be electing people with scant experience.

If the soft left and lib dems formed a coalition of their best talent, now that'd be something. Look at the people voted into Westminster by the SNP wave - a lot of complete nonentities.

We want good, talented, sensible politicians, not just people wearing a badge we agree with. Or we should want that (see SNP MPs)
