Corbyn is lovely, why the negativity?

Really, why?
Just because he's a bit different in his presentation. He in principled and compassionate, I for one wish he would become the PM.

Crobyn's 25 year old son is chief of staff to mcDonnell and went to Cambridge. I wonder if he got the job through connections.

NoLotteryWinYet · 21/04/2017 18:39

Yes as the IFS pointed out, we're in a 'pay more for the same' situation already and we need to get real. I'm not going to vote for slogans with no detail on how these feats will be paid for, or implemented. Aside from the fact the labour top team is talent-free.

NoLotteryWinYet · 21/04/2017 18:40

Poor Coyne. And so McCluskey gets to determine a huge number of votes as he's in charge of unite based on a 12% turnout? Wow that's so...democratic

Is that the son who went to Grammar school?

Now McCluskey has won the union election with 5% support the chances of getting rid of Corbyn are even smaller. We have to get rid of him and the infiltrators to the party before Labour will ever recover.

Seamus Milne celebrates Len's victory with champagne.

Over 20 bottles at £50 a bottle too allegedly

Bigbiscuits · 22/04/2017 09:27

I wonder who is paying for that?

NoLotteryWinYet · 22/04/2017 09:35

I'm not sure how well the Tory tax bombshell attack is going to go for Corbyn - vote Corbyn's labour instead to pay even more tax! Why is a socialist attacking the tories over tax when his policies would cost everyone even more?

Vote Tory - they may raise taxes a bit - no, vote for us, we'll tax everyone a lot when we fail to get money out of multi-nationals.

My fb feed this morning is full of pics of JC reading the bear hunt - vote for labour, JC is someone you could trust to read a story to your kids!

As long as you're not a political opponent of his, in which case you'll get the sack if you lose...

makeourfuture · 22/04/2017 10:30

Again, why not join the Labour party and vote?

If it the case that the party's makeup has changed, as has been asserted, then the party has changed.

Yvette Cooper has been impressive...why not join the part and support her candidacy for leader? There's a buzz around Starmer at the moment.

I say the more the merrier....there is a conversation Labour needs, and all should be welcome to join and engage.

NoLotteryWinYet · 22/04/2017 10:49

I am a Labour Party member yes. A member hikding onto membership precisely to vote against the hard left. If the moderates split though I'll give up and join them.

Good for you. Listen, it may come to a split. For all the talk of the election...we have to sort out this philosophical issue - so we can pull together, or at least stop hurting ourselves.

ShatnersWig · 22/04/2017 11:45

Starmer and Cooper are two of the few Labour MPs with any real ability at present. But even if they were leader and deputy (I think they'd be an excellent "dream team" whichever way round) the party still needs to find many more capable MPs to be shadow ministers before they can present a serious challenge.

The real danger is that if Corbyn refuses to budge after the likely landslide, there will not be a serious opposition to the Tories for well over a decade, possibly longer. Because Labour will be decimated, or fracture into two parties, so we end up with several smaller parties all fighting separately against the giant (comparatively) Tory party.

I bet there's a lot more people wishing that they hadn't punished the LibDems at the last election for the coalition quite so harshly, or that they've voted the other way in the referendum on voting reform. Because it's looking increasing likely that without some form of PR, there is a real danger of the Tories being returned for 20 years or more.

Yes that is my fear. Its not far off what happened the last time.

EnjoyYourVegetables · 22/04/2017 11:48

With a split you are dead as a national party makeourfuture.. Compromise is the only rational way forward.

makeourfuture · 22/04/2017 11:51

or that they've voted the other way in the referendum on voting reform

If we had only taken out our anti-establishment feelings then....things may be different. Yes.

Two4One2017 · 22/04/2017 12:39

If the labour party split with a group with D Milliband, Yvette, Starmer etc in it I would be interested. I will probably vote Conservative this time and I am one of the millions labour needs to reconnect with...... but has no hope whilst Corbyn, McDonnell, Abbott, Thornberry are running the show.

Elendon · 22/04/2017 19:09

Makeourfuture There is no conversing with the current Labour farcebook people because they only want appraisal of our 'current leader'. Any thing else is removed. It's a shambles. But I've no doubt the same applies to all the other parties.

It's quite obvious that most momentum loving people in my area voted for Brexit or spoiled their vote or didn't vote at all.

If I discuss anything pro Europe, I'm seen almost as a Tory. Despite this I will vote Labour. But they are not getting any more subs from me. Not until they reinstate the big tent politics.

Elendon · 22/04/2017 19:11

And another thing. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if momentum loving labour voters voted Tory in their area to get the anti Brexit MP out.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 22/04/2017 20:35

Elendon hand over the glue, come on hand it over
