Just being nosey really, I love this kind of thing.

I've got a few freaky stories.

What are your thoughts on paranormal stuff?

Yes. Many years ago I was out in the car and was overcome with the urge to see my Grandad. So strong it was I drove home. When I got home Mum had received the phone call that he'd been rushed into hospital, he passed later on that night.

A little over a week ago, I had a sudden urge to see my Gran (his Widow). Our side of the family have been completely NC with her for a good 10/15yrs. I had literally no idea how or where she was. It felt so much like when Grandad passed that I made this note in my phone on the 4th. I forgot about it and carried on as normal. Just before Easter we were informed she had passed a week to the day, on the 11th.

This one happened to my gf, he swears it's true.

When my gf was late teens/early 20's he used to go rabbiting with friends. They became quite friendly with an elderly man, Arthur, that they would see walking his dogs in the area.
On this particular occasion my gf had gone rabbiting alone and saw Arthur walking his dogs. They chatted for a while then Arthur asked my gf to stop by his house on the way home and let him know how many rabbits he'd caught.
On his way back my gf did as he'd been asked and stopped by Aurthur's house. Arthur's wife answered the door and my gf asked after him. The DW replied "Haven't you heard? Arthur died 2 days ago." Shock

When I was feeding ds3 in my bedroom.I had the door open, looking out at the landing. DS 2 comes out of the toilet,he's about 11 at that stage.Goes straight in to his bedroom.

Literally 5 seconds later he comes up the stairs and into his bedroom.I put baby down and check.I asked him had he been in the loo,he says no.He was downstairs. Really freaked me out.

That forest story. Shit the bed. Shock

I don't have any of my own (thank fuck) but I do remember a couple I've read on here before:

  • the one where the MNer, as a child, went to view a house with her parents. The estate agent refused to go in with them. MNers father went in alone and came out visibly shaken, having seen the 'ghost' of the previous owners body hanging from a doorway upstairs.
  • the one where an MNer was working a night shift in an old hospital. Part of it had been a burns unit during the war. MNer and a colleague went to use the vending machine, which was located in the basement and accessed only via a lift. They took the lift down to the basement and upon the lift doors opening, they were confronted with a living, breathing, full on scene from a WW2 burns hospital. Casualties, nurses, doctors, the lot. The MNer recounted how one of the nurses turned and glared the most evil, piercing stare at them as they frantically tried to close the lift doors.

The tale of the MNer in the club / bar who saw the bloke dressed in 70s clothing was fucking eerie too. The way she described how she felt when he stared at her - like he wanted to do her real harm - has stayed with me.

Citychick - how funny that we have both seen the huge man in Victorian dress!

The World War Two hospital story is creepy - can anyone find the original? I read it the first time round. I wonder if the nurse with the piercing gaze (don't remember it being evil?) saw the two modern day nurses in her time?
