Just being nosey really, I love this kind of thing.

I've got a few freaky stories.

What are your thoughts on paranormal stuff?

It's possible I'm mistaken too. It was a while ago. Smile

Posted this on another thread before but here goes:

My mum worked in the Blackpool Victoria Hospital as a trauma theatre nurse. During one night shift after they had cleaned down and locked up the theatre, her and a colleague were in the staff room drinking tea.

They heard the theatre table being wheeled into the theatre upstairs. They have the keys to the theatre in front of them on the table they went upstairs and saw that the gurney was back in place in the middle of the theatre room and there was no one else around we could have done it. The Table could not have rolled into the room because the theatre doors didn't open that way.

It is believed that it is the ghost of a doctor/surgeon who died on his way in to save the life of a woman and her unborn baby. However he died in a car crash on the way hospital as did the patient. Everyone thought it was him trying to complete his surgery.

fifipop185 · 16/04/2017 00:50

This is utterly true and to be fair I'd never believe it if someone told me this, but it is true. Blush
Years back at a family dinner, my mum was sitting around the table and suddenly slumped forward, her heart rate dropped. She stared in to the distance and then came around, quite normal. We all thought she'd had a heart attack or something. She insisted she was fine and refused medical help. A few days later she went to the hairdressers (she keeps her hair quite short) They asked what on earth she'd done to the back of her head - there was a perfect round circle burnt in to the back of her hair looking a bit like a cigarette burn. No one really knows what happened but Mum thinks she's was visited by her own Mum... I promise it's the complete truth. I can't get my head around it Shock

Christine, the snowbound couple with the 'terrifying' event in the camping pods owned by the mysterious Molly and Tristan was a patent troll who ran out of fictional inspiration abruptly...

FairytalesAreBullshit · 16/04/2017 04:20

I was on Amazon, DS protests that he NEEEEDS a better pencil case and pens that also need labels, as he's been sifting from my decent collection, other pupils are going, 'Don't mind if I do!' trying to make out these pens are there's.

I looked at the website, if you're in the NW there's a 30 volume series on legends, ghost stories, that kind of stuff. So I was like I think my Kindle fancies a bit of that.

At 4am I won't be sharing my story as I sleep alone. Hubby will be beyond confused if I try to jump into bed with him.

Will read this thread once daylight comes & share my story.

I too remember the forest one, it scared me.
Another one that's been posted on previous threads (it might be on the same one as the forest one linked in a pp) is the one about the night club. The poster used to go to a club regularly and remembers seeing someone stood by the bar. Years later was in the club again and saw the bloke dressed the same not aged just stood there staring at her. The original again scared me and is worth reading.

watchoutformybutt · 16/04/2017 06:51

The forest one still freaks me out if I think about it. Horrendous.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 16/04/2017 06:53

Birdsbees the hotel wasn't near Chatsworth was it? I had the same - what I thought was noisy upstairs neighbours, kept me up for hours and woke me again very early morning. Went for a walk in the grounds the next day and noticed there wasn't a floor above us. Asked the staff about attics but they were only used for storage apparently and were adamant no-one would have been up there.

samoyedydog · 16/04/2017 09:12

Can someone please copy/paste the forest story? I can't find it, on the mobile app so I can't see pages

rainbowstardrops · 16/04/2017 09:40

I love these threads!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 16/04/2017 09:42

Grin Molly and Tristan's snow ghost fantasy drama was brilliantly dissected by a later poster, it was hilarious.

Tattsyrup · 16/04/2017 09:44

I used to work in a haunted school. It dated back to Victorian times and was one of the first schools opened under the Education Act. I worked in the oldest part of the school, in one of the original classrooms. Our resident ghost was a school mistress. Lots of pupils claimed to have seen her, but I doubt they really did. I never saw her, but I felt her presence many times, just a feeling of being watched. Once I was the last one on my corridor. The corridor lights were already off and, once I'd turned off my classroom light, it'd be very dark. As I stepped out of the classroom all the lights in the corridor came back on, then turned off when I reached the end of the corridor! And no, they weren't on timers or motion sensors! Our ghost looked out for us!
Another story about her was recounted to me by a member of the SLT. She was alone in her office, which happened to be in the attic in the original part of the building, when she was thrown out of her chair and across the room! A few seconds later the roof caved in, right over her desk!

haveacupoftea · 16/04/2017 10:13

I love these threads. I'm worried I might send myself into early labour reading some of the stories though Shock

putdownyourphone · 16/04/2017 10:52

I can't find the forest one on the link that's been posted either - can someone copy and paste the story?

ShowMePotatoSalad · 16/04/2017 10:55

Another one desperately wanting to read the forest story here! Pllleeeeasssee!

AgentCooper · 16/04/2017 10:57

Ooh I do love a woo thread!

Coffeeisnecessary · 16/04/2017 10:58

I also want to know the forest story but can't find it on that link- stupid mobile app! Love stories like this!

ShowMePotatoSalad · 16/04/2017 11:00

I think the PP who linked to the thread said it was the top post on page 2 but the top post on page 2 seems to be a story about someone who thought they saw their housemate hiding in their cupboard but they were at work at the time. Freaky stuff but I'm absolutely desperate to read this forest story. Tried searching for it but I can't find it. Hope it's not been deleted or something.

ShowMePotatoSalad · 16/04/2017 11:04

In the meantime I'll share my stories:

Have heard/seen strange things in the house. Once saw what looked like the black outline of a man literally leaping out of the kitchen door (which is visible from the living room window where I was stood at the time). Man just disappeared. Door was locked at the time.

Was in the kitchen once and heard what sounded like heavy boots on the flagstones. Scared the life out of me but nothing was there.

Was once in the bath and heard what sounded like the cupboard door in the dining room opening. It's a very distinctive sound because the bottom of the door scrapes along the carpet. I thought someone had got in the house so I went downstairs and the hallway door was closed.

My house is weird!

Peanutbuttercheese · 16/04/2017 11:13

I was walking alone on Cannock chase, beautiful sunny day. I suddenly had the most overwhelming feeling of dread and pain and misery. I literally ran to my car and drove back to boyfriends. We were in a long distance relationship and he had just moved there recently so we didn't know area. At his colleagues house for dinner that night I relayed the story. He told us there had been a series of murders of young girls known as the Cannock Chase murders in the 1960's there.

DS when around 4 informed me lots of people died in a fire Mummy as we drove past an army barracks. Later that year when I mentioned it to a Mum whose DS was in same reception class she told me there had been a huge explosion when a munitions factory had been there in WWI. Over 100 people had died in that tragic accident.

Neither myself or DS knew anything of these tragedies, I get feelings like this in places sometimes. Of note is they are almost always just regular non spooky places.

Howyoualldoworkme · 16/04/2017 11:13

I think this has the nightclub story on, maybe the forest one. Tbh I don't think I can read the forest one again. Stayed with me for ages...shudder

I often hear someone saying 'shhhhhhhhh' through the baby monitor when our baby has just woke up and started to cry.
There is also something not quite right in one of our bedrooms, not the same bedroom as the babys room, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Our 5 year old often wakes up with nightmares in that room.

ShowMePotatoSalad · 16/04/2017 11:15

How that thread mentions the forest story but it doesn't seem to actually have it. Someone mentions an MNer who told that story on another thread.

tiredtired · 16/04/2017 11:20

Can someone copy and paste the forest story??

MrsMeeseeks · 16/04/2017 11:23

Sorry I can't find it but it was posted by 404notfound, if that helps at all.
