To want to confess?

AIBU to want a secret confessions thread?

I'll start.

I am stupidly in luuuuuuuurrrvvvvvveeee with a man from work almost 10 years younger than me. He's so lovely, and funny and clever and handsome and I just want to lick him. We get on so well. He'd probably die of shame if he realised and on occasion I feel like I'm old enough to be his mum even though clearly I'm not lol.

But gahhhh, I get the fanny gallops....

NOONE CAN KNOW! I can do nothing about this. No telling on me!

Spill your secrets people!

Come on tell us more Teenage. You know you started this thread so you can talk about him WinkGrin

ew1990 · 12/04/2017 20:46

@StarUtopia 20 year age gap between me and mine, thought we was going to get judged at first but no, happiest that I've ever been

Passthesalt1 · 12/04/2017 20:50

Ahhh so many.......

I tell the kids the ice cream man plays his song to signify he has run out of ice cream.

If they lie, their tongues turn black from the festering of the lie in their mouths.

I tell dh I went over when putting petrol in the car and buy myself treats instead with the 'extra' money.

I tell dh I was late home from work when actually I was chatting and having a sneaky cigarette.

I secretly love it when the kids mess dh around at bedtime, because for that small window of time he has to deal with what they have been like with me for hours.

I love that autistic dd loves me and will let me hug her, touch her hair etc when she growls and spits at other people who go near her especially dh.

I think I have more but I now feel like a bitch :( I might go make dh a cup of tea..........

phoenixtherabbit · 12/04/2017 20:52

Op ask him out!! My dp is 13 years older than me and we were colleagues... We both spent months thinking the other didn't like us..... Ask him!!

Ellybellyboo · 12/04/2017 20:53

I watched Rock of Ages at the weekend and now fancy Tom Cruise a lot

Went out for a run last night, made it to the end of the road, bumped into a friend and went to the pub instead

TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 20:54

I can be normal with him. I don't feel like I'm trying to impress him or hiding bits of me (other than the hiuuuuuuge crush obvs). He's funny and stupid and I can be funny and stupid. we do message sometimes out of hours blush]

Why is adulting so hard? Grin

JamesDelaneysHat · 12/04/2017 20:55

Oh come on
He likes you too Grin

MaryCrawley · 12/04/2017 20:56

I'm ridiculously happily married, kids, house, job, the works.

I also have incredibly detailed sex-daydreams about a (younger) guy I work with. I'm pretty sure he sees me as some kind of older sister figure, but in my imagination, I ride him like Seabiscuit. Blush

TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 20:56

Nooooo he's just nice. Everyone thinks so. Literally EVERYONE. Come on, you lot like him too now don't you!

OP posts:
TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 20:57

Lmao mary

JamesDelaneysHat · 12/04/2017 20:58

And what do you message about out of work? (I feel like I should add 'pray tell' to the end of that sentence, like a disapproving maiden aunt!).

Vaus · 12/04/2017 20:58

Also pining after someone, but 10 years older 😱 It is very very sad and pathetic.

TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 21:01

Not not sad and pathetic Vaus, it is now trendy and cool

Although clearly the words 'trendy' and 'cool' are neither of those things. Erm... sick and bare something the kids say these days???

Ava5 · 12/04/2017 21:02

OP, PLEASE consider going for it. In my case that would be a bit weird because at 10 years younger the guy would be barely legal, but surely yours isn't that young!

CosmoKlit · 12/04/2017 21:02

Panda There's also an social media platform that is similar to Facebook but is very popular in Asia (I forget the name, but I am sure someone will know it).

Strava is a running / cycling app. There's also runkeeper and endomono. You can search names in all of them.

Mollie85 · 12/04/2017 21:03

wellitwouldbenice Blush sometimes I think I am....but can you be in love with someone you've never met?

I know that whenever anything happens, good or bad, I want him to know ...

But life has happened inbetween in those ten years...he's had partners, so have I (not many I hasten to add!). We've grown, but we're both still there for each other.

Very strange relationship (I use the term relationship in a non-romantic sense) ...

Actually thinking that Christmas might be the time...when he's back - the thought thrills and terrifies me because I wonder if the window of opportunity has passed and we are destined to just be friends who never meet... in a sort of Tom Hanks / Meg Ryan but with a crapper ending way.... Grin

TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 21:04

Can I change my confession to the fact my house is a tip and I haven't vacuumed for a week and I own a loo brush please?

Thattwatoverthere · 12/04/2017 21:04

I found my ex from when I was a teenager online a week ago. He's moving in this weekend Shock. It's been 15 years since we saw each other...

Crazycatladyloz82 · 12/04/2017 21:05

Panda and Cosmo the platform in Asia that is hugely popular is WeChat

ChasedByBees · 12/04/2017 21:05

You've discussed with a colleague whether he wants children? You're in. Go for it.

CosmoKlit · 12/04/2017 21:07

Thanks Crazycat, that's the one I was thinking of.

JamesDelaneysHat · 12/04/2017 21:08

Nice try, Teenage.

UnbornMortificado · 12/04/2017 21:09

Teenage ask him out man, what's the worse that can happen?

I wish DD2's dad dead daily. The shit he put me through I can cope with but il be fucked if he's doing the same to my littlest DD.

Tiggerific1984 · 12/04/2017 21:11

I also told my partner I didn't want to get married again but I'd love for him to ask me.

I think because we have a child together now. But I know he never will so it's just a wee dream of mine. But I would like to have the same surname as my daughter as I was told I couldn't have children and she's here now. My wee miracle and she's not even got the same name as me.

WashBasketsAreUs · 12/04/2017 21:11

Sometimes I sit with a basket of washing by me, and have a quick look on the internet. (actually hours!) When DH comes in, I hastily turn off the laptop and start folding the washing!
