I'm quite happy for it to stay simply as "baby" but her brother keeps telling her to call it Dave. Or Farty-pants. But Dave seems to be sticking. It doesn't even look like a Dave. I spent ages online picking one that wasn't terrible looking and now it's going to be known as Dave!

My teddy which I do still have in a bag somewhere was known as Teddy. Then in my late teens a friend named him Heinz. This was because we passed the Heinz factory somewhere in England and I mentioned my mum had recently me said teddy had been a free gift from Heinz.

Think yourself lucky. We had a pet rock called Peter.

Wow you were all so creative as kids! I had a dolly called 'Dolly'. A cat called 'Cat'. A camel called- wait for it- 'Camel'. Dave the doll is brilliant!

Also OP, when I first read your post I read it as an actual baby and was momentarily Shock at the fact that you'd picked your daughter's child off the internet...penny then dropped!Blush

We had a pet rock called Peter.

Perfect name for a rock. Well, I suppose it could have been Petroc.
