To not get the white car craze?

Everyone I know who has purchased a new car in recent years has chosen white, every other car on the road seems to be white!
Fashions come & go and each to their own I know but when you buy a new car you are shown a chart full of of amazing beautiful colours, why would anyone choose boring old white? They remind me of works vehicles/vans/salesmen cars!
And sorry but nothing (imo) looks as WAG-like as a white BMW/Mercedes/Range Rover!!

I have a white car. Didn't particularly want a white car and would have paid for another colour but we got a good deal on the finance at the end of a month, they had white in stock so could get it that week and the primer/undercoat on the car it also white so any little chips in the paintwork don't show up as much as they do on my friends same model black car. When I had looked at cars the year before red seemed to be the free colour then.

I have a white Range Rover Vogue (beige interior) and I love it - it's also one of the most practical colours to choose since I live in Dubai. Doesn't show the sand/dust as much and reflects the heat better. White cars are definitely the most popular choice here so that also helps with reselling.

I had a black Range Rover Sport (with black interior too!!) before getting this one and it was a huge mistake. Filthy every day from the sand, and in summer it was even more scorching hot because of its colour. I also would have got more for the resale value had it been white with beige or cream interior apparently.

The cars I had previously in the UK were black and dark brown ('Umber Metallic' they call it Hmm) but here in the desert any dark colour is not a wise choice at all..!

My last car was a white one, and I didn't like it, purely a practical, cheap purchase. The one I bought today is also white, again, buying a used car limits the colour range.

I read somewhere that the popularity of the iphone in white has lead to white cars becoming popular as they are seen as a premium product. Not keen myself.

it looks lovely on the new VW Beetle and most cars when they are super clean but I'd never choose it as it is a bit chavtastic especially on Chelsea tractors.
