its just such a twattish thing to do though isn't it. Nicking the daffodils.

But people will nick anything, daffodils, charity boxes, someone's Xmas tree, you name it some scum ball will nick it.

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 27/03/2017 18:29

Apologies for multiple post - fucking computer Angry

PennyPickle · 27/03/2017 18:30

Poor kids having an obnoxious, entitled nob as their role model

feathermucker · 27/03/2017 18:30

People that say...," my taxes pay your wages!" really are the ultimate arsehole sometimes! I'm an NHS worker and hear that frequently; it's ridiculous!

They are planted for everyone to enjoy; not for selfish, tight arsehole like this to come along and just steal!

He made himself look utterly ridiculous and came across as intimidating and pathetic! Bully!

ScarletForYa · 27/03/2017 18:30

Tight, miserly eejit. Can't stand people like that. Glad she took the flowers off him. He was the one responsible for the daughters being upset

Cheap fool.

MistressMerryWeather · 27/03/2017 18:31

I think I would probably die of embarrassment if this was my husband.

I bet he the type of wanker who is always asking to speak to the manager.

NewPuppyMum · 27/03/2017 18:32

Why is dad a cheap skate? It sounds like the DDs asked as they were driving by. They didn't ask in the shop and him say no let's get some free ones.

The WPC was over zealous. Unless there was a queue of kids all waiting to pick a dozen daffodils it wouldn't have hurt to let the kids take them and she could have said, don't do it again.

TesticlesInTheBlender · 27/03/2017 18:33

He's an absolute arse.

IlPorcupinoNilSodomyEst · 27/03/2017 18:33

He's a twat. Pity she didn't do him for harassment or obstruction or whatever the term is, as well!

I had a gentle word with some boys picking daffs from the little park opposite our house the other day, they obviously didn't know the rules but hopefully won't do it in future.

MistressMerryWeather · 27/03/2017 18:33

He's*

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 27/03/2017 18:34

He should have said

We cant pick those ones ...lets go to the shop and buy them

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 27/03/2017 18:34

Sorry that was for new

NewPuppyMum · 27/03/2017 18:36

Rufus, yes, that would have been better but since the girls had picked them and were upset I'd have given in to the girls as being more important that they weren't upset than that he was disciplined.

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 27/03/2017 18:37

Dad, especially when he went to the press with a sad face.

Atenco · 27/03/2017 18:38

The trouble with people who pick flowers that are for the public to enjoy, is that the public can no longer enjoy them.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 27/03/2017 18:38

Just explaining why he was a cheapskate

And as others have said

A) you are not supposed to keep stolen property...bad lesson for the children to learn

And

B) he may have got further if he had been very apologetic, told his kids he was in the wrong and not filmed her

BagittoGo · 27/03/2017 18:39

Somebody paid fir and planted those daffodil bulbs. He should be made to buy 27 bulbs and plant them in community land or a park. Once he realises the hard work gone in to making the roadside look nice he might grow up and send a letter of apology to the local newspaper. Picking flowers that are not on your own land is illegal!

NewPuppyMum · 27/03/2017 18:40

I hear you, Rufus Smile.

MadamePomfrey · 27/03/2017 18:41

The article reads as though he suggested picking some flowers! But either way the right thing to do would be to say that's a lovely idea why don't we go pick some up from the shops/our own garden. And 27!! That's a lot it!! He was taking the piss!! And the video Angry As to letting the girls keep them! If I take something that isn't mine but promise not to do it again can I keep it? no it's theft!

TheWitTank · 27/03/2017 18:41

If the dad hadn't thrown such a wobbly and made a tit of himself showing off for his video I highly doubt the kids would have been so upset.

heebiejeebie · 27/03/2017 18:42

Kind of, but I love this piece from Caitlin Moran so I will graciously allow small children to pick flowers that are not mine
