The Dad is a twat...

Hulababy · 27/03/2017 18:08

TBH having just watched a clip of the video then even more so dad in the wrong. This part says it all really.

(woman, maybe mum?) Dave, you're upsetting the girls now
Dad: I dont care

Gwencooper81 · 27/03/2017 18:09

Hahahhaha what a twat. He should be embarrassed to be so tight and so bloody rude!
Poor kids with a tight wad dad! The shame of going to the papers!!😁

Cantusethatname · 27/03/2017 18:09

Dad

EnglishGirlApproximately · 27/03/2017 18:10

This is from my local paper - consensus around here is that dad has made a twat of himself Grin

Wando1986 · 27/03/2017 18:11

Most daffs here are planted in 'fields of hope' from Marie Curie. Everyone local knows you don't pick them and if you do then expect an earful from anyone close by in the park that might see you.

Only scum let their kids do this. The fucking hobo he is.

Underthemoonlight · 27/03/2017 18:12

I wanted other peoples opinions I thought he was wrong but some people were defending him even actually saying they children should have kept all 27 flowers on social media, thankfully everyone sees sense on mumsnet .

The Dad is a proper bellend isn't he! I cringed through his video. What an embarrassment. The flowers are there for everyone to enjoy, not for a few people to steal and look at in their own home (or use as a cheap arse present). HE made his kids upset by giving them permission to pick the flowers. They don't know any better, he should. Anyway, they were probably covered in dogs piss so I hope the kids washed their hands afterwards!

Grilledaubergines · 27/03/2017 18:16

He was/is an arse.

It's theft.

I'm glad the police officer passed them on. And I bet it really pissed him off that she did.

The poor children, how utterly embarassing for them.

Piffpaffpoff · 27/03/2017 18:17

The dad is wrong. I regularly cycle along a path between two villages that has always had lots of daffs and this year there are small signs all along it asking you not to pick them. Slightly unnecessary I thought, but maybe not!

acatcalledjohn · 27/03/2017 18:18

So he knows it's not allowed, still let his kids do it, but feels common sense should have prevailed? As in: "I know it is wrong but I shouldn't get in to trouble for knowingly doing something which is wrong"?

Common sense did prevail, you utter twat. The officer took away the flowers (rightly so) and let you off.

Mother's Day ruined Hmm

Drama queen.

Bet his wife is over the moon that he got their children splashed all over the internet by acting like an entitled twat.

gettinfedduppathis · 27/03/2017 18:18

The dad is a total twat. You can't just pick flowers by the roadside - they don't belong to you, they belong to someone else. It's theft and the police officer was absolutely right.

TheWitTank · 27/03/2017 18:18

Oh and to add, 'I pay your wages' gives me proper rage. It's a statement that guarantees a first class dickhead.

JaneEyre70 · 27/03/2017 18:19

The Dad is an entitled twat, and the fact he filmed himself arguing with the Police says what sort of parent he is. Poor kids. What hope have they got growing up with that for an example. Our parish council is proud to keep our local verges and village green well planted with daffs, and god help anyone trying to pinch a few. I can imagine all the locals chasing with pitchforks Grin.

KingBob · 27/03/2017 18:19

The dad is a fucking dickhead.

I hate it when people are so disrespectful towards the police Angry

SpiritedLondon · 27/03/2017 18:20

The flowers were planted and maintained by the local authority. How would you fancy someone strolling into your garden and picking a handful of your flowers? Probably not. It may be the officer would have let the girls keep the flowers had the father not been a complete tool.... which is known in Police parlance as " failing the attitude test"!

ArriettyClock1 · 27/03/2017 18:20

The dad is a complete twat.

What a shining example to his children.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 27/03/2017 18:20

Is this going to be a unanimous thread?

Have i just jinxed it

SpiritedLondon · 27/03/2017 18:20

Ps you should read the comments on the article. Hilarious!

Katedotness1963 · 27/03/2017 18:22

Just the line "I pay your wages" shows what an utter tool he is.

insertimaginativeusername · 27/03/2017 18:23

This 👆🏻

RunningBetty · 27/03/2017 18:27

What a prize twat. What a disgusting attitude to display in front of his children. To be such a dick that he doesn't realise this and goes on to put the clip out. Edjit.

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 27/03/2017 18:28

This is what happens when entitled bellends pick the daffs from public places - this bank was full until two tossers decided they needed the daffs for their mother, the local market or whatever Angry Sad

who do you think was Aibu policewoman or dad ?
