Can't read it,it won't enlarge..what does it say???

Imaginingdragonsagain · 26/03/2017 19:49

Your not being unreasonable!!

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 26/03/2017 19:49

Why does it say 'My Mums' at the top?? That is confusing me...

carabos · 26/03/2017 19:49

Yikes. Shock

cariadlet · 26/03/2017 19:50

Maybe not complain, but I'd definitely show it to the teacher and point out the mistake. I'm a primary school teacher and would be horrified to think that any of my colleagues could send home something like that.

It's easy to make a typo in a letter or worksheet, when you're writing a lot of text pretty quickly and a word only occurs once. There's no excuse for that.

Theresnonamesleft · 26/03/2017 19:50

I doubt you will be the only one complaining tomorrow.

iamjustlurking · 26/03/2017 19:50

Hate to add to the horror but Thankfull ? *Thankful Shock

Herschellmum · 26/03/2017 19:50

I'm certainly not grammar police, my spelling is shocking 😂 But the fact they not only got that many "your" wrong, but they can't even spell thankful! Argh .. I would honestly be bringing that up. It is really really shocking.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 26/03/2017 19:51

Wait... just looked properly . The awful lack of punctuation in the final paper aside is 'thankful' also spelt 'thankfull'???

Dear Lord.

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 26/03/2017 19:51

My eyes!

I saw a nursery recently with signs up in every room, proudly laminated, with rules for the children, including 'quite voices'

Dc2 is not going there...

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 26/03/2017 19:51

final paragraph!!! OOPSY

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 26/03/2017 19:52

X post horror shared lurking!

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 26/03/2017 19:52

They're trolling you.

PensPencilsAndRulers · 26/03/2017 19:52

Why the assumption that it's a TA or volunteer pp! I'm a TA (so maybe I'm being over sensitive). I've met a teacher who couldn't spell aubergine and another who couldn't spell shepherd (and this was on paperwork that went home). Just because a TA doesn't have a teaching degree doesn't mean they're more likely to be illiterate than a teacher!

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea · 26/03/2017 19:53

You say school. However the writing looks to be that of an adult. Which makes me think that this might be preschool or nursery rather than actual school.

I have great trouble with the comment upthread of 'even if done by a ta or volunteer'. The implication being that TAs are thick.

Yes teachers do have to pass an English test. However it is a computerised test and you need to get a percentage correct. This means that it is perfectly possible to have someone who can get something like this wrong but still get through as no one is going to stop them. I have known a teacher who used to write 'should of'.

Finola1step · 26/03/2017 19:54

I'm usually in the ignore camp but only if such mistakes are rare. But with this example, the repeated mistake is just awful.

pho3be · 26/03/2017 19:55

They're trolling you Grin

No! No! No! Burn it with fire!

AutomatonSimine · 26/03/2017 19:55

"You're my only hope."

That is quite appalling.

MamaSloth · 26/03/2017 19:55

I'm a primary school teacher and that makes me feel physically sick!

reup · 26/03/2017 19:56

Shocking as it is I wish my kid's school did anything - they make no Xmas, Easter or Mother's Day stuff because "it's not on the curriculum map" - it's run by joyless automatons. To rub salt into the wound I supply teach so I get to make all those things with others people's children.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 26/03/2017 19:56

It really does not matter whether it was a TA or a teacher. It is shocking either way.

It's a worksheet of some kind so has probably been seen by several eyes at the school : TAs, teachers, children. No one spotted the multiple errors. The only ones I would forgive, age depending, are the children.

OP your DC's handwriting is lovely, though! In a few months she will be able to educate these ignorami herself. ;)

Thegiantofillinois · 26/03/2017 20:00

My dd's teacher (reception) can't use apostrophes or practise/ practice. The temptation to send it back green-penned can be immense.
