It's 13 degrees!!!! Someone on my snapchat is having a bbq.

I went food shopping yesterday and so many people were buying bbq food, drinks, ice etc.

It's lovely clear skies ... but it's not hot! Surprised I've not yet seen men walking around without their tops on yet.

OP posts:

I'm in the Middle East at the moment. Here you see kids in balaclavas at 25 degrees. We're currently undergoing the weirdest ' spring' in 5 years, it's rained all week!

HeeHighls · 26/03/2017 18:43

It's not just the bare topped men, but the way they attach their tops to swing in their belts like Brave Heart.

Yep my neighbours had a bbq. Over before I returned, but the evidence was all the charred rolled up newspaper blown in to my garden.

DavetheCat2001 · 26/03/2017 18:44

I've spent much of Mother's Day afternoon in the local pub garden hic

motherinferior · 26/03/2017 18:45

It really is not warm just because it's less cold than it was!

graciestocksfield · 26/03/2017 18:46

18C is just lovely. Don't need any of your 25C + weather coming over here, taking our jobs...

alltouchedout · 26/03/2017 18:49

People enjoying themselves in manner not sanctioned by the op shocker Hmm

graciestocksfield · 26/03/2017 18:50

I love the weather between about 10C and 23C. It is perfect for getting things done, exercising and not needing to wear loads of greasy gloop. Anything outside of that is unacceptably hot or cold and I reserve my right to moan about it accordingly.

FarAwayHills · 26/03/2017 18:50

I live near the sea, it's been sunny and pleasant this weekend but there's a chilly breeze and it's not that hot. There are people walking around in strappy tops and shorts that really shouldn't be. No one wants to see your tattooed arms and butt cheeks hanging out of your shorts lovely even if it's 30 degrees. Just put it away please.

Sidge · 26/03/2017 19:20

It was 28 in the sunshine in my garden this afternoon. 😎

Little suntrap my garden.

ForalltheSaints · 26/03/2017 19:39

It is Britain! People cannot cope with slightly unusual weather for a given time of year. Half an inch of snow and the place grinds to a halt, over 30C trains have to run at reduced speed, and as for what people wear, in such circumstances the very bad style gets even worse.

It won't change with Brexit.

Figgygal · 26/03/2017 19:43

I'm with op it's bright and dry sure but it's by no means hot where I am in fact it's been bloody windy all day yet mu Facebook is full of weather related brags

Meh I'll stay inside thanks

Blossomdeary · 26/03/2017 19:43

Hey - just lap it up! I spent a day picnicking by a stream in the Black Mountains with 7 children - wonderful!

Sisinisawa · 26/03/2017 19:44

I saw a woman wearing a summer dress and sandals today.
I was wearing a coat.
People have gone crazy. They just see sun and ignore the actual temperature.

Rollonbedtime7pm · 26/03/2017 19:46

I'm with you OP - it is lovely for it to be sunny and dry and the wind has dropped but it's not flip flop weather!!

I have a colleague who constantly gushes about how "gorgeous and hot it is" if the sun remotely peeks through and i'm just like Hmm - still in a sweatshirt and light scarf here!

bloodymaria · 26/03/2017 20:03

why does it matter how any one else goes about their day? Or what they are wearing? Away and enjoy the sun! Or don't! Just get on with it!

Eolian · 26/03/2017 20:05

YABU. That's what I thought, but my dc got a bit sunburnt today. And I'm in Cumbria!

sodorisland · 26/03/2017 20:06

18 degrees here today. Very much bbq weather in scotland. I also have some sunburn. It was snowing 6 days ago.

HubbleBubbles · 26/03/2017 20:06

Agree with the OP - I went into town in my big coat & saw people in the park having picnics Shock in t-shirts Shock

Hardly being a "Troll or a bellend " Hmmto laugh at the British over enthusiasm where a bit of sun is concerned!

QuinnsNo1Lady · 26/03/2017 20:10

It's 19 deg here in central Scotland. We had a bbq. 20 is officially taps aff weather :-D

thefairyfellersmasterstroke · 26/03/2017 20:40

Taps aff here in SE Scotland too - had to dig out the aftersun for DS1 as he got a little burnt. Taps definitely oan in the evening though!

I don't understand why people get their knickers in a twist over other people's choices. Maybe they're just hardier than you, but it''s certainly not worth getting indignant about.

PollyHampton · 26/03/2017 20:46

I never understand why people like OP feel the need to dictate what others should feel. Lighten the fuck up OP! Just because some people enjoy warmer weather than you doesn't mean they're animals.

camelfinger · 26/03/2017 20:51

It feels warm at 13 degrees when it's sunny and we're just coming out of winter. In summer, today's conditions would feel freezing. When you're on holiday you need it hotter as you're just sitting around all day. But at home, sunshine and not too extreme temperatures is perfect for most things, including bbqs.

RitaMills · 26/03/2017 20:51

It has been a lovely hot weekend, I've been sitting in the garden both days. I didn't have a BBQ but I could've and comfortably sat and ate it outside. We Scots have to enjoy the sun when we get it, bit or a rarity up here.

givemestrengthorgin · 26/03/2017 20:53

Sun's oot, taps aff Grin. 18 degrees here today and we were just about ready to get the paddling pool out.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 26/03/2017 20:57

We had a BBQ yesterday, why does that make me odd? 😢

In my defence, were an outdoor family - you kind of have to be, being farmers. So I've never had an issue being outside in any weather, as long as I'm dressed for it!
