It's 13 degrees!!!! Someone on my snapchat is having a bbq.

I went food shopping yesterday and so many people were buying bbq food, drinks, ice etc.

It's lovely clear skies ... but it's not hot! Surprised I've not yet seen men walking around without their tops on yet.

18 degrees isn't hot. It's kind of cool-to-warm.

Littlebelina · 26/03/2017 17:37

Bit nippy here for a BBQ (chilly breeze) but had a picnic lunch. Is that allowed? Got super excited about being able to get washing drying outside as well.

WaegukSaram · 26/03/2017 17:39

I'm not from the UK and when I first moved to London one June I was really puzzled by the people who'd cram into the parks on a mild day at lunchtime, soaking up the sun in temperatures when I was still wearing a jacket.

Then six months of winter arrived and I understood.

slithytove · 26/03/2017 17:41

Just finished our BBQ, sun is still blazing in our garden which is a compete sun trap, we have emptied a shed, decimated a flower bed and lopped bits of a tree. Kids loved it, no one was cold!

1horatio · 26/03/2017 17:45

Whilst it isn't hot... It certainly isn't cold either. It's quite mild and lovely, right?
But then again, it just doesn't seem to actually get cold in the South of the UK anyway, so eh....

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing · 26/03/2017 17:45

Coastal west Scotland and we bbq'd for lunch- other than daftdug who was banished inside for stealing rolls- ignored the meat and went for the rolls.....

BakeOffBiscuits · 26/03/2017 17:45

Thr OP seems to have gone.

Maybe s/he has gone outside to get some sunshine. they certainly need it

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 26/03/2017 17:47

Here, all the bums, bellies and boobs have been out all weekend lol. (Not in my house, but in the town).

HermioneJeanGranger · 26/03/2017 17:51

Lovely here - 19 degrees all weekend!

peachgreen · 26/03/2017 17:54

I spent all afternoon sat by the sea in a pub garden and it was lush.

emummy · 26/03/2017 17:57

19 here - in Aberdeenshire that's hot!

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 26/03/2017 17:58

Surprisingly warm in the sun. We went for a paddle down the beach, it was lush.

d270r0 · 26/03/2017 17:59

Ha ha - I have a friend who lives in China. A few months ago he told me the temperature there was low as 13 degrees and everyone was complaining how cold it was and going round in full on coats and scarfs. But here at that temperature its swimming and bbq weather!

Welshmaenad · 26/03/2017 17:59

I've come down to open the caravan up and we are eating outside, it's glorious. My ten year old has caught the sun!

AnarchyKitty · 26/03/2017 18:00

It reached the dizzing heights of 61 here today. I'm in Scotland so for me it was positively tropical! It was fantastic to sit out in the garden and I got four loads of washing dry on the line. You have to grab every opportunity while you can up here.
Now it's cooling down so I'm about to lay the fire.
I'd have had a BBQ at lunchtime if I'd thought of it.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 26/03/2017 18:15

OP did say it's 13 degrees where she is, not 18, so those saying how warm it is where you are is not the same.
It's been about 14 where I am, so quite pleasant in the sun but still need more than just a t-shirt, bit cool in the shade and definitely not paddling pool weather.

user1471545174 · 26/03/2017 18:18

YANBU OP, I do wish people would learn the difference between sunny and warm.

OublietteBravo · 26/03/2017 18:21

I'm enjoining the sun. I hung the laundry out and did some gardening. But I was still wearing a fleece.

DD spent yesterday wandering around in shorts and flip flops. I'm surprised she wasn't cold. DS was wearing thick tracksuit bottoms, a hoody and a thermal base layer.

YNBU.

Took DCs out today. I will blame every single driver we saw with their top down if it rains all week again. Wink

wanderings · 26/03/2017 18:24

Anyone who moans about sunny or warm weather in England (or moans about the people who enjoy it) should be transported somewhere far colder.

(I'm not quite in flip flops, but have dispensed with socks)

user1471545174 · 26/03/2017 18:26

It's not a moan about the weather, it's a moan about people Grin

Nothing wrong with the weather at all.

ShakeofFara · 26/03/2017 18:26

Figureof80 Argyll here too Grin

PeaFaceMcgee · 26/03/2017 18:27
