It's 13 degrees!!!! Someone on my snapchat is having a bbq.

I went food shopping yesterday and so many people were buying bbq food, drinks, ice etc.

It's lovely clear skies ... but it's not hot! Surprised I've not yet seen men walking around without their tops on yet.

21.5 here today.

That's practically tropical! Grin

SoupDragon · 26/03/2017 17:08

Maybe I should put on my bikini and walk bare foot to the corner shop

Or you could just shrug to yourself and let people get in with whatever they want to do.

And who are you exactly to give out your orders?

Well, you seem to think you know what others should be doing based on your opinion of the weather so I'm not entirely sure what your point is.

SparkleTwinkleGoldGlitter · 26/03/2017 17:09

Seriously OP, did someone do a poo in your coco pops this morning?

dalmatianmad · 26/03/2017 17:10

I've not long got up because working nights this weekend so haven't really seen any nice weather.

My niece has just posted a picture on Facebook of her 3, 2 and 11 month old dcs in a paddling pool?? Confused WTAF?

HelenaGWells · 26/03/2017 17:10

My auntie had a BBQ last week. She loves being outside and bbqs. I don't see why it's an issue for anyone else? I say good on her.

Ameliablue · 26/03/2017 17:11

We've been sitting out in the breeze at the seaside in short sleeves so definitely warm enough to sit out and eat.

Janey50 · 26/03/2017 17:13

IMO people seem to go a bit barmy the moment we have a few days of warm (ish) weather after a long winter. Over the last 2 days I have witnessed men and women wearing shorts and T-shirts. One woman in my local shopping centre yesterday was even wearing a bikini top with shorts. Admittedly I felt a bit overdressed during the day with my coat and jumper, but was I glad of it later on in the evening, around 7pm. I was waiting outside Asda for my DD and bloody hell, was I cold in that wind. often think that if people are dressed like this in what I regard as mild weather, what are they going to be wearing when it really IS hot? What I find puzzling though is that the people who are wearing summer clothes when it's only 13 degrees are the same ones that are complaining that it's 'freezing' when it's 7 degrees. I always think 'You want to try living in Russia. Then you'd know what freezing feels like!'.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 26/03/2017 17:16

Grab the warm weather while it's here, love a BBQ.

It could be pissing down tomorrow.

SaudadeObama · 26/03/2017 17:16

Grin it's 28 where I am in Brazil. Kids are in the pool and the neighbours are having a bbq. When it's 13 people are inside huddled around the fireplace. Grin

Sandsnake · 26/03/2017 17:17

It's been sunny but still cool-ish here in the SE. But I understand that yesterday in particular in the north and parts of Scotland has been close to 20 degrees. Given the crap summer that they had last year (ours in the SE was really quite nice) I think they're entitled to enjoy it!

GerdaLovesLili · 26/03/2017 17:19

We had a cream tea outside in the sun at the garden centre. It was lovely and warm because they have a nice sheltered courtyard. So nice to be in the open-air after being cooped up all winter. Flowers Cake Brew

tygr · 26/03/2017 17:20

Very windy here - lovely washing drying weather but not so much so for sunbathing.

SookiesSocks · 26/03/2017 17:20

OP is either a troll or simply a bellend.

I think bellend will cover all bases.

TinfoilHattie · 26/03/2017 17:22

YABVU.

It's been in the high teens here today, very warm in the sunshine and my kids have spent the day out on their bikes, playing in the garden and eating ice lollies.

It's been a long, shitey winter with snow and ice and I for one am VERY glad to see a bit of sunshine.

ratspeaker · 26/03/2017 17:22

Taps aff weather here in Edinburgh.

The beach has been busy, people ( other than the usual Sunday morning wild swimmers) in the sea.
Kayakers, paddleboarders, boa ts sailing by.
Kids building sandcastles.

To each their own

AntiQuitted · 26/03/2017 17:23

Oh when did we stop loving the bonkers reactions to our piss poor weather!

WhooooAmI24601 · 26/03/2017 17:24

It's been beautiful here, we've had the MIL and my parents here for lunch and decided instead of a roast to chuck a bbq on. Gorgeous weather and even more so for the DC who've been inside a lot over winter.

pleasecomesoonspring · 26/03/2017 17:25

It's beautiful just enjoy it and stop the whining

KateMateDateFateLateBateGate · 26/03/2017 17:25

OP What's the acceptable temperature for BBQs iyo?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 26/03/2017 17:25

Is fresh air only allowed when the temp is mid twenties to thirty?

I've been in the garden today, the children were out on their bikes. It's been a gloriously pleasant day.

KitKat1985 · 26/03/2017 17:32

Not sure why OP is getting such a hard time. I think if she's anything like me she's more amused than annoyed by our desperate British resolve to pretend we're having summer weather. Grin Although it's been beautifully sunny here today, it's only been 12c. I've seen people in flip flops and shorts and everything. I'm still in a coat!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/03/2017 17:33

BREAKING NEWS! Some parts of the country have been less cold than others! Therefore people in different areas have been dressed differently, but appropriately for their local weather.

A paddling pool and a BBQ would have gone down very well here in the SE of England, but friends in Wales have been huddled in bed because of the cold. SHOCKING!

PUGaLUGS · 26/03/2017 17:34

Warm here, both yesterday and today (Yorkshire)

Perfect BBQ weather.

Dilligaf81 · 26/03/2017 17:35

It was 18 here yesterday, thats def bbq weather. We went to the beach as the kids wanted to go bodyboarding. They were the only ones in the water and had a bloody great time.

Clandestino · 26/03/2017 17:36

We had a 10 mile hike yesterday on sea cliffs to celebrate the beautiful weather. Even I was in my shirt only. And we were outside for most of the day too. It's beautiful, it's fantastic, the sun is out, let's enjoy it!
