My son is a Met officer. Thoughts are with all the families involved.

Delatron · 22/03/2017 17:48

BBC are reporting some French school children have been injured.

Creampastry · 22/03/2017 17:48

Maybe Theresa May will start appreciating the police more now.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 22/03/2017 17:49

Not sure now is the time to start politicising tbh.

HiggeldyPiggeldy · 22/03/2017 17:49

three french students hurt, just dreadful

RJnomore1 · 22/03/2017 17:51

Yes I came on to post about Tobias Elwood.

And all the other moments of bravery and humanity that shine through when terrible things happen 🌟

PlayOnWurtz · 22/03/2017 17:52

Bunch of school kids paraded past the BBC cameras there so I assume they're not on lock down any more

They have just been moved to Westminster Abby I believe. There are about 1k people in there according to BBC.

PortiaCastis · 22/03/2017 17:54

Oh their poor parents just think what they've been going through

Puzzledandpissedoff · 22/03/2017 18:01

As if the French don't already have experience of a terrorist ploughing through innocent pedestrians Sad

Now being reported there are four dead ...

PlayOnWurtz · 22/03/2017 18:01

4 dead. 3 further police officers hit on the bridge Sad

ButterflyFree · 22/03/2017 18:03

4 confirmed fatalities according to live New Scotland Yard press briefing right now, including one armed police officer protecting HoP, and the attacker.

Thoughts and prayers to the loved ones that the police officer and innocent victims leave behind.

LuxCoDespondent · 22/03/2017 18:04

Three victims have died, plus the cunt who did it. Hopefully this will not rise.

Penfold007 · 22/03/2017 18:05

So very sad

Butterymuffin · 22/03/2017 18:06

Grateful thanks to Mr Elwood for doing all he could to help the injured officer. Flowers

LagunaBubbles · 22/03/2017 18:06

Oh this is awful news.

BillSykesDog · 22/03/2017 18:06

Are the school children injured rather than killed then? That's a relief, the idea of that really upset me. Still tragic of course whoever it is, but I hope that the children involved at least have a chance of recovery.

BillSykesDog · 22/03/2017 18:08

Does anybody know why there is still such lockdown? Are they thinking there may have been more than one attacker?

RJnomore1 · 22/03/2017 18:09

I don't think the school children are injured at all.

alteredimages · 22/03/2017 18:09

Four dead. Sad

A bit gutted that the attacker has died as that is exactly what he would have wanted and now he can't be questioned.

Marcipex · 22/03/2017 18:09

I think they thought there was a bomb. Or had to check.

RJnomore1 · 22/03/2017 18:10

Bill I did see somronecsay they were searching the building for another attacker I don't know if that means they know there is one or it's just protocol to be very very thorough (obviously)

alteredimages · 22/03/2017 18:10

RJnomore1 multiple news outlets are reporting three high school students from Brittany aged 15 and 16 have been injured.

Autumntactics · 22/03/2017 18:13

I have colleagues in there still, I missed it by about five minutes I think, they've been told they'll be let out in an hour, I think they're just evacuating people gradually.

Wishfulmakeupping · 22/03/2017 18:13

Watching the school children really upset me- they must have been so scared- their parents watching this all this afternoon must have been terrified :(
