Things that can never be saved

Am I the only one who thinks that corn beef is just one of those delicacies that can never be saved, it does not matter how much you try to make it taste nice, it is just awful? Followed by the pointlessness that is tomatoes(boring and acidic) and oranges(hate how it explodes in the mouth and untidy to eat)?

Those huge cucumbers which go yellow in the summer , they are impossible to do anything with.

Homemade jam from a fete that some kind soul has made for charity but is so sweet it makes your teeth on edge just smelling it.

Parsley. About as delicious as the stuff the lawnmower spits out. Replace with random other herb for an interesting taste.

My MIL makes a fantastic corned beef and onion pie. Has a 'sausagey' texture. Yum! DH makes corned beef stew which always looks amazing but he usually makes it so spicy the DC and I end up having something else!

Corned beef is the only form of beef I will eat! Has to be on soft white bread with tomato or sweet pickle. I remember my DM saying how expensive corned beef is nowadays. She said it used to be one of the cheapest meats you could buy. Whereas chicken,on the other hand,was a real luxury and very expensive. Nowadays,it is relatively cheap and certainly not a luxury!

Corned beef is lovely with mustard on white bread and butter.
