Dh has been faffing about what he wants to do for his birthday on Saturday for weeks. Yesterday he finally decided he just wanted to go down the local.

He's a bit disappointed because half the pub had already made plans to go to a boxing match, so once he was asleep I sent out a fb invite to loads of our friends saying I knew it was short notice but if they could make it that's where we'd be.

Then I got the following messages from dh's best mate. Who is a twat

It would annoy me - esp. if I didn't like the friend. I would regain some control by saying " Oh, I wish you had told me - I already have the cake" and then get something fabulous made and drop it to the pub in the afternoon.

Drat. i missed the live updates (we were all sparko by 8.30 here - where the fuck did my life go?!).

I can confirm the picture is hilariously peculiar. It's seriously huge and not even the full face. Sort of 3/4 profile and the chin cut off, a bit out of focus. The type of shot someone may take on a serious zoom lens if they were only allowed within 200ft of a person. Or that they'd picked out of the background of a crowd scene and then creepily magnified by a million.
