or at some point this month?

And I know there is a EU board tucked away somewhere but I'm interested in everyone's views.

I have no preference either way but seeing as the UK voted to leave lets get on with it. The UK cannot be any worse off than we were under the EU regime

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:09

No

She did it to force the govt to follow the rule
of law

UK law

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:10

"Yeah, so what?"

That's your whole argument is it?

Okaaaaaayyyyy

ButtercupChain · 13/03/2017 20:11

Lots of verrrrry sour grapes on this thread. Grin

There was a referendum, and the leave vote won. That means we leave the EU. Comprehendez? We are getting what the BRITISH PUBLIC voted for!

You remoaners only like democracy when it suits YOU. That's a fact. Wink

Yeah so what? Gina Miller did this only to benefit herself and her peers. NOT because she cares about the British Public.

Just how do know that? She has spoken very eloquently in parliamentary democracy, and seems to know an awful more about it than the likes of Nigel Farage. Toad that he is.

It's so fucking annoying to have people calling her 'elite' when Farage, Banks, Johnson - all equally bloody elite and rich.

She argued for exactly what Farage and co were only pretending to argue for.

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:15

There was an advisory referendum

Which was won by a very small majority

TM (not elected by GE btw) seems to think
that this gives her a mandate

What it gives her is a lot of very very pissed
off remainers and lots of less rabid leavers who now regret their vote

But yeah....let's hope for the best eh?

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:16

Did you hear what farage has been calling leave voters?? Grin

Very illuminating!!

He has got what he wanted

I guess that's enough for some

fulloffunreally · 13/03/2017 20:17

Anyone wind their necks in for a minute and think of how awful the HOC vote was earlier to NOT guarantee the rights of EU citizens here?

Feck sake I never thought I would see such a xenophobic thing happen here. But then again why would I be surprised anymore.

This country is turning into an awful place now.

There will be a revolution. Man the barricades.

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:18

I've told dh I want to leave

I don't think he believes me....

HelenaDove · 13/03/2017 20:19

Oh i can.

comfortandjoyce · 13/03/2017 20:22

There will be a revolution.

There really won't.

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:23

What am I supposed to say to my mum?

😞😞😞

fulloffunreally · 13/03/2017 20:23

HelenaDove. (lovely name BTW)

I can only hope for some sense in all this. Hopefully that will happen for your dear Mum and you and family too. Decisions such as this do not just impact the person alone.

I have to say I am a bit startled by all this. But onwards and upwards.

TheElementsSong · 13/03/2017 20:24

I cant believe they have done that

Believe it, and believe that it will be gleefully applauded by many of your fellow citizens such as some on this thread.

Honestly, brace yourselves. I think there'll be worse to come Sad

fulloffunreally · 13/03/2017 20:26

Badders. Where could you go, what will you do?

It is very unsettling for people in your position WRT mum and that.

I wish I could wave a magic wand and sort it all out. But that's not reality.

Horrible country now really IMV. Pitting one against the other. Yuck.

MrsExpo · 13/03/2017 20:28

Crack on .... fed up with all the messing about and posturing.

HardcoreLadyType · 13/03/2017 20:29

Ill

Badders123 · 13/03/2017 20:29

No idea
Dhs industry is quite niche but he won't even look tbh
Mum hasn't really taken it all on board tbh - and I'm not saying anything until it's made more clear what the situation is re ROI

Egoanono · 13/03/2017 20:29

I am feeling ashamed to be British. To all my European friends, I am so sorry. None of this is in my name.

Alfieisnoisy · 13/03/2017 20:29

I am devastated about the failure to secure things for people already here.

One of my close friends is from a European country. She is involved with me in setting up a charity...ironically to support British parents. She still has no idea if she will be allowed to remain long term. Her children were born here and her life is here.

I don't mind Brexit...I was very much on the fence when it came to the referendum but I would like to have seen much more effort into reassuring people already here that their residency is safe.

I posted similar on another thread but they are too busy chinking their wine glasses (filled with Champagne ironically) to respond.
