To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

• Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
• Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
• Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

Cadbury Snaps - they were like chocolate pringles in a long tray. (Though Aldi do a rip off version)

Romantica - anyone remember this dessert? Big round gateau type thing with a biscuit base and little caramel balls on top. Heavenly... I frequently check supermarkets to see if it's been brought back

Body shop Passion Fruit body butter smelt lovey. I don't normally like fruity flavoured stuff but that was really nice.

3D doritos.

Vanilla flavoured angel delight. We use it in trifles instead of custard as it's lighter but you can't get it anywhere.

M&S's sausage and tomato roll.

Was this like a sausage roll with tomato ketchup?

Galaxy swirls I loved them so much I got a box for every birthday and Christmas!

Secret bars and salon selectives shampoo. Smelled like apples, I loved it.

The limited edition monster munchies from the early "00's". The baked bean ones, the ones that changed your tongue colour and didnt even mind the vanilla ice cream flavour. Used to get a packet and a chocolate bar (normally dream....another sad loss) for 50p from vending machine after swimming practice. Now its 90p for one item!

I miss La Senza, I always used to wear their perfume.

Sainsbury's cheese and celery sandwiches. An odd thing to pine for but they were delicious.

Oh yes those Sara Lee pecan things were delicious as were pyramints.
Asda used to do a lentil hash ready meal. It was like corned beef hash but veggie and really tasty. Haven't seen it since the 1990s.

Hey I loved Pacers too 😀. Also Bar Six (blue and white wrapping), it was yum and just disappeared into the ether. Also a few perfumes and foundations just gone. And clinique youth surge moisturiser also discontinued...?? 😩

M&S Fireburst Salad. One of the range in little square pots, had real crunch and zing. Now they are all infested with slimy quinoa and spelt.

M&S frozen potato waffles with actual lumps of potato, not texture-free re-constituted gunk as in the standard BirdsEye/ supermarket ones.

Anything 'new improved ' rarely is.

Trio biscuits. Fake toffee flavour goodness. Old fashioned flavour Spangles. And cheese flavoured Snaps. You can still get tomato flavour but not cheese.

And proper coal tar soap. You can.still get it but it's a pain to find. None of my local shops stock it.

Clinique Stellar Plum lip gloss.

Body Shop vanilla body lotion.

Weightwatchers ham tagliatelle

Waitrose used to do the tastiest (and most calorific) risotto ever- cheese, pancetta, spinach and butternut squash I think. When I was a teenager I was really underweight due to health issues and had to eat loads to put on weight- this was my go to lunch. Sigh....

Lidl also seem to have stopped stocking their 1kg Turkish yogurt and their chickpeas. You can now get 1kg shitty sugary flavoured yogurts instead. I'm praying it's a temporary thing.

Not a food one, but there's a spot treatment called Panoxyl and you can only get it in 10% medicated strength now which kills my skin. They discontinued the 2.5% and 5% medicated strength years ago, despite those being the doses dermatologists recommend.

Another skincare one- Boots used to do a cracked nipple cream that made the best ever facial moisturiser. My whole family used the stuff! But also... it's gone!

Phlebaconsidered you can still get Trios - they brought them back. They're not on the Tesco website but available on Sainsbury online, I just checked!

I really miss Fuse bars.

TGI Friday's used to do a dish called mushroom chicken and mushrooms(I think) I was chicken with sautéed and breadcrumbed mushrooms I think and cheese. It was lovely. Was about 20 years ago though!

M&S did a lemon meringue cookie. Serving suggestion was to warm and serve with vanilla ice cream. They were amazing.
They still do the same range of cookies/biscuits but for some reason they discontinued that one.

Johnson's Baby Bath - completely different smell now, it used to take me back to a time when my DC's were babies, there was nothing more heavenly than soaking in a bath of it.

Benefit C Spot perfume.

The Ambre Solaire Aftersun of my childhood holidays. Another lovely smell gone.

And finally, Nazir's and Minara's Curry Sauces. Gone. Nothing compares, have had to resort to making my own which pisses me off because I'm rubbish at it.

Trios are in all the supermarkets.

YABU to eat strawberry fondant [gag emoji]. But I'm sure there was a chocolate bar called Secret or something, which I remember from childhood. It had partly the texture of a flake and maybe something nutty in it. I used to be allowed it once a week.
