To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

• Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
• Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
• Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

Coconut boosts were my favourite treats and the Estée Lauder powder I used was discontinued a couple of years ago.

Was just coming on to say super mousses.Sataurday treat because we only had an ice box in the fridge not a freezer.
Used to eat the white bit first and save the bits with sauce on for last.
But I know if they bought them back they'd be different and just rubbish and then I'd be disappointed all over again.

I miss Nina by Nina Ricci... I've used the original perfume version for over 20 years and I was devastated when they stopped selling it years ago. I hate all those new flowery-sweet stinky odours they're selling now.

Everything I bloody love they either stop doing or frigging fiddle about with!

Revels, stopped their coffee ones and coconut ones...

Cookie jar just vanished taking with them my beloved caramel and chocolate whirls (cookies baked in cupcake cases with gooey centres) I could nibble on one and make it last an hour :(

Coconut boosts...I would suck off the chocolate, nibble the caramel leaving a tubular centre of coconut. They bloody stopped making them!

Galaxy dove bars...thick chocolate covering delicious vanilla ice cream. They bloody well discontinued them as well!!!

Death by chocolate cake...that fell off the face of the earth just because I loved it.

Life is SO fucking unfair.

To the pp who mentioned pacers and starburst. My dh when he sees me sees me opening a pack of starburst still says "pass the opal fruits" makesme laugh as they have not been OF for years!

Branigans crisps. Beef and mustard and a ham one I think. They were thick and so tasty.

MouseholeCat you could dilute it if you haven't found a suitable replacement. Will get more for your money as well.

Helena Rubinstein lipstick. When I started working I blew my first couple of wage packets on a complete 'face'from HR. The lipstick was called Cafe Italian I think and was a wonderful colour that was very hydrating and stayed put all day. Expensive but definitely worth it. Almost 40 years later and I've never found one I like as much.

Years ago Heinz did a pizza with baked beans on, I was devastated when I found they had stopped making them as I was really craving one when pregnant two yrs ago.

I even wrote off to see if they would make me one! Tried to make my own but could never get it just right!

Boots no 17 eyeliner used to be awesome. I used it throughout my twenties and my eyes looked shit hot. Then they discontinued it and replaced it with a new version which is just shit. I must have spent hundreds over the years desperately searching for one that is as good. No luck so far.

Frufoo yogurts, I was distraught when they discontinued them.
Also proper Mountain Dew.

Tesco used to do a gorgeous cappuccino cake they discontinued it and have since made several coffee and walnut type pale imitations. I bake ok, I'm often asked to do cakes for others I can create nothing like it, nor can Asda or Sainsbury's

Fuse bars and Mars delights

Aztec bars, old fashioned spangles, but think of all the new things that come onto the market instead of the ones that disappear. Just tried a box of dairy box, much better than they were years ago. They keep bringing out new flavours and variations so we have far more choice than before.
