I'm not really a dress person and I've been looking at coloured dresses/non wedding dresses for my wedding this summer, which is not going down well with family...mainly my mum surely I'm not BU?

I wore a dress that was very much more at home on the Oscars red carpet: pale gold chiffon twenties style floor length with lines of gold and white gold sequins. I didn't look much like a movie star but I sure as hell felt like one. My mum got married in a brown corduroy suit! (It was the late sixties though).

Wear what you want. Have fun.

Gorgeous dress Acacia!

That is so beautiful AcaciaYou .

I am now feeling a bit peeved that I didn't just wear what I wanted, the only bloody bits of my wedding outfit I liked were my veil and my shoes! Let this be a lesson OP, wear what you want or end up grumbling and muttering to yourself further down the line! Grin

That's lovely Polly - really lovely!

OP - do what Sabbatical says - wear what YOU want. You will look wonderful I'm sure.

I wore dark blue - a new dress, but one which I'd bought amonth or so before simply because I liked it and it was on Sale from Liberty's. I think I'd worn it once, but it might have been twice. I actually wanted to wear bright green, but couldn't find a dress I liked.
