Pancakes for tea - AIBU or DH?!

It's Pancake Day on Tuesday! Bloody love Pancake Day.
Although, who's BU?
I think stacks of pancakes for tea on Pancake Day (dinner to the Southerner lot) with loads of different toppings, fruit and fillings is perfectly adequate.
DH thinks that's not a substantial tea, and they're perfectly good as a starter but it's not a main meal for the kids.
Am I unreasonable to think "Shurrup, it's Pancake Day!" and continue to fill us all with pancakes or do you do something else as well?

Yes, tell him they are crepes, go posh, fill them full of savory goodies as recommended on here. We dont just eat them Pancake Day. Jamie Oliver says you must make the batter the day before, otherwise they go hard, well, mine dont. Personally I find make the batter runny, fat, very small amount very hot, pour the batter and quickly roll the pan round so they are thin. Am on a special deit (health reasons) but determined not to loose out, made mine with wholemeal flour soya milk, cooked in olive oil H who is from sarf London, (even that far south, they have tea as evening meal!) hates anything "healthy" said he would have one with my mix, and ate it!!!

We had them. I made something that i haven't made for YEARS which was a family tradition when I was growing up. We had roast chicken at the weekend so I used the leftover chicken with onions, mushrooms and white sauce with grated cheese over the top for savoury and then we had sweet ones for afters. I managed to keep to two sweet ones!

DH loved the savoury ones. And wants them more often now Grin
