To ask if you love your job, what do you do?

I'm wondering if people who love their jobs are just more enthusiastic people.

Do you genuinely love your job, like look forward to going to work most days? Is there anything that you dislike?

Did you always know what you wanted to do or have a career change? Have you have a job previously that you disliked?

I'm really stuck in a rut and need inspiration. I'm in a boring but equally stressful job but with good perks.

I'm a Paediatric nurse working with infants aged from newborn up to 2 years of age and I love, love, LOVE my job.

The downsides are the usual NHS issues of working long hours and being under staffed etc but it's a very rewarding job.

Prior to going to Uni I was a dental nurse and I loved that job too - probably because I really fancied the dentist I worked with

I've pretty much always loved aspects of my jobs. Even working weekend nights in a badly run homeless shelter.

Marketing manager. Love it - different every day.

Construction, I head up the department that looks after plant/labour, other stuff but best of all cars!

Interesting and varied

I'm a Kitchen Manager for a large pub. I love it and have been in my pub for nearly ten years. I have a great team of chefs that work for me and lovely customers. Family and various snobs have trotted out the 'why don't you get a proper job?' line (meaning 9-5 weekdays etc) but doing this fits in with my DC and PCO shift-working DH.

Comms manager. I handle external relations in the rail industry. Bloody love it.

Teaching. I've done other things but it's far and away the most rewarding! But then I wanted a job where I could make a difference and where it would matter if I was there every day. It is tiring but so are other jobs, and I genuinely look forward to work

Events manager. It's fab. My job involves having great parties. Love every bit.

I'm a part time sales assistant in a high street clothes shop. Nothing fancy, but I love seeing new customers every day and having a chat. Also love helping them find what it is they're after, especially if there's only one left in their size!!

I LOVE my job. I'm an (alternative looking) Chartered Accountant. I look after the finances for a couple of departments in a large organisation: budgets, forecasts, outturns, costings.

I've always enjoyed working with numbers, although I probably actually deal with more words—telling everyone what the numbers mean.

Love my job. I work on a dairy farm. It is hard work, long, erratic hours and really very poorly paid but I'm happy doing it.

I've had much better paid jobs before (including one I have professional qualifications for), some of which I've enjoyed, others that have been awful but this is my favourite. I'm not a people person though, so it suits me to be out of the crowds.

Im a dog groomer i love my job and wish to be doing it for the rest of my life

School Counselor- I love it . The young people I work with are challenging, fascinating, at times hilarious, and never cease to surprise me.
I have regular appointments with kids who are referred to me by teachers/parents due to a wide variety of difficulties but students can also 'drop in' so I never know what the day will bring! Teaching staff also come to me for support.

Prior to this I worked for the NHS in a senior nursing role. I left because the work/life balance was non existent and savage cuts to my area of Healthcare were making the job increasingly stressful and unsafe. It felt like taking a big risk giving up my nursing career but i'm so glad I took the plunge.

I have had a few jobs I've really disliked over the years and it makes me really appreciate what I have now. I'll never be rich but I enjoy what I do and feel I'm making a difference, which is the important thing for me.

I am CE of a small local charity, so rewarding and get to see the very real changes the charity makes

I work in blood transfusion and love my job. It is challenging and totally unpredictable from one day to the next. I work with lovely people which also helps.
The only downside is shift work, I usually don't mind but the odd weekend when everyone is out enjoying themselves can be hard!

NICU doctor. Love it. Despite the usual challenges of short rotas and NHS...isms - and of course when things don't end well. DD hates my night shifts, DH hates my weekends.

I work in a jewellers. Best job in the world! With people at the happiest times, surrounded by beautiful things all day. What's not to love?

Teacher , secondary. Head of year 12. I love my job, don't really like getting up in the morning, but once my children are dropped off I get all excited about going to work. Love my students, love my colleagues and just love my role. I've spent my half term reviewing our applications for 6th form prefects. Over a third of my year group applied and I've had to reduce them to a manageable level for interview. I'm absolutely blown away by how good they are - my students are amazing, they regularly bowl me over with how clever, funny and mature they are. They will go on to live happy and fulfilled lives; how can I not love that I get to be a part of guiding them?!

Theatre scrub nurse. It's fab. I work with a really supportive eclectic bunch of people, there's an atmosphere of respect.
Plus I get to play a part in life altering surgery, making a difference to people's lives, gives me the warm and fuzzies.

I hate hate my current job in reservations in a hotel but I have loved every other job I've had.
I've been a disability support worker- great team, fab service users, everyday different, helping families who really need you
Bouncer/safety steward - Love the excitement, helping people have fun, creating client relationships, got to see some great gigs and again, fab team
Tourism advisor in a tourist office - met people from all over the world and helped them make the most of there holiday. could be considered mundane by some people but I loved it. Again great team.
I worked in a café when I was younger, loved that.

I'm a student so all these jobs have kind of been filler jobs but I would happily go back and do any of them again. In fact I'm getting my security license renewed!

Careers Adviser!

I love it as it is such an interesting and satisfying job with no one day the same. The only problem being major lack of CA posts thanks to government cuts

I can honestly say I think I hate my job. I'm a midwife. It's the system that I work in that is hateful not the career itself, many joyful moments but I and many others just so run into the ground by lack of breaks, long hours, tremendous pressie and so short staffed. I don't know how much longer I can do it
