Any other group gets named - be they gay, black, female, trans, Muslim etc...All used to associate that group with negative news reporting.

Of course, if it's a positive story, then it's rare to find the 'group' mentioned. But a negative story - mention the 'group'. Unless they're the default group of white, male, straight and Christian.

Oh, and yeah my twitter feed and facebook feed (and MN threads) likely would halt my entrance into the US even as a US citizen. I've obviously not done or said anything illegal or violent or anything like that, but I am certainly no fan of Trump!

It sounds more like they're using an excuse to drop from the Human Rights Council. Possibly not to be scrutinised.

Lweji I'd have to agree with that. They seem to be distancing themselves from ANY regulatory body, any ties that may potentially hold them to account.

Someone is clearly not feeling the love. I would say this was an actual suggestion - not just a throwaway comment - by Trump. He is fully expecting this and apparently needs that to feed on.

I'm surprised someone hasn't already started organising it Ginger - given that he's key to republican power right now, and how wealthy they all are, surely someone's assistant could have been given the job of creating one which looked like a "real" rally?

The thing is that the more rallies he hosts or that take place, the smaller and smaller the crowds will get. Hell - he only managed 9k for his first one (admittedly less than a month after being in office but surely you'd have thought he'd still be wildly popular then!)

The details about his roast make for good reading - and not unsurprising really. He has no facility to laugh at himself - another reason I reckon he's not attending the WHC dinner. I had to smile when they show you his handwritten corrections at the end and he's changed 'large' to 'big'... bet he wanted bigly!

Sure but America's a big big place. Hold it somewhere else and give other supporters a chance to turn up maybe?
