Crisp sandwich - normal, right?

I LOVE a crisp sandwich. Especially with salt n vinegar crisps. Was thinking I'd love one earlier (but no crisps in the house) and then remembered a friend thinking I was totally bonkers for having crisps in a sandwich.

Anyone else? Or is my friend right and I'm totally bonkers...?!

On that note, any other 'out of the norm' sandwich fillings you all in enjoy?

I love a crisp sandwich too. Any flavour and any bread will do but I especially love cheese & onion on cheap white bread. Or ready salted on a tuna mayo sandwich!

I've never had a crisp sandwich in my life, so it's not normal to me at all.

White bread or a roll. Butter. Plain crisps or salt your own without the salt. Salad cream.

Oh, wotsits and apple sauce on Danish bread is amazing. I once ate 4 in a row...

The only time I eat white bread is when I have a crisp sandwich. My crisp of choice, humble bacon frazzles. Yum.

Never had a crisp sandwich and the idea doesn't really appeal to me!!

However when we were kids, mum used to make us cheese and jam sandwiches (apparently we wouldnt eat cheese sandwiches and by putting a bit of jam in them we ate them happily!)

When there were any left over, she used to dip them in beaten egg and fry them - it was manna from heaven!! Didn't work with any other filling funnily enough

I never realised that cheese and jam wasn't a standard combination til in my late teens!!!

I think I can count on one hand how many crisp sandwiches I've had - I always get stabbed in the gums with sharp bits of crisps 😔

Every (savoury) sandwich is improved with the addition of crisps except bacon. That's too salty even for me.

Totally normal. I had one for lunch. Cheap white sliced bread. Proper butter. Ready salted crisps. Salad cream for dipping. Delicious.

Today I lovingly tucked prawn cocktail crisps into my ham sandwich...please don't judge me!

I find that any sort of sandwich is enlivened with the addition of a few crisps. My all-time favourite is home made bread roll with chicken salad and crisps.

Absolutely love them, has to be either salt & vinegar, cheese & onion or smokey bacon ones though.

Another Crisp sandwich fan here: plain salted crisps, cheddar on white bread and a big glass of milk. Also used to love crispy bacon sandwiches with a light smear of marmalade on white. Since becoming a veggie they are a thing of the past (no, veggie bacon just doesn't taste right with marmalade!)

Oh yes. Thick white bread, lots of butter, extra mature cheddar and McCoy's Cheese and Onion. All washed down with a cuppa. Followed by a dark chocolate Kit Kat

Of course normal! Marmite and ready salted, cheese with cheese and onion, Smokey bacon goes in a brown roll, Salt and Vinegar goes in a white roll with ham.
Crisp sandwiches with salad cream I could live on.

I could murder a cheese and onion crisp sandwich with ketchup right now! Sadly, all I have left in my lunch box for today is rice cakes with cashew butter on. Normally that would be great but they're not a crisp sandwich
