To think I have grey coloured eyes and not blue (pic included)

They're not blue. They're grey.

Everyone my entire life has said they're blue but they're clearly not. I'm not colour blind. There's no blue in them at all.

I'd love to have beautiful blue eyes but I don't. Anyway, I'm right aren't I? I have completely grey eyes and I'm not being unreasonable to be annoyed when people say they're blue am I?

Totally grey-can't see blue at all! Never seen eyes your colour before but I have seen grey. They're grey eyes.

Astoria7974 · 20/02/2017 23:52

Look blue with a bit of hazel to me, might be the photo quality though.

SignOnTheWindow · 20/02/2017 23:53

Nope, those are definitely grey eyes. Absolutely beautiful colour it is, too! I'm very envious.

user1487622990 · 20/02/2017 23:54

Uploaded the wrong pic. Here's a better one.

Clearly grey here.

Yeah, grey, mine are similar.

SumThucker · 20/02/2017 23:57

I'd say they're blue, especially the second one.

Astoria7974 · 20/02/2017 23:58

Hmm... colour still looks blue to me, a darker version of Wentworth Miller's (Prison Break lead) eyes. For me grey is darker and flatter.

allegretto · 20/02/2017 23:58

I'd say blue.

Willyoujustbequiet · 20/02/2017 23:59

I would class them as blue grey. My daughters are exactly the same.

Thinkingblonde · 21/02/2017 00:00

Grey, I have grey eyes, my mother did too, she had beautiful eyes.

TheProblemOfSusan · 21/02/2017 00:02

You do have grey eyes and they're utterly lovely. I do love a nice dark ring.

Grey is a much more interesting colour than blue, aren't blue a bit common? Green here so obviously won the genetic lottery 😂😂

TheProblemOfSusan · 21/02/2017 00:03

(suddenly realised that my comments about blue being common are really rude. Sorry blue eyed I people. You are all lovely.)

SignOnTheWindow · 21/02/2017 00:04

Ah yes, in the second one they look more blue-grey. They are such a lovely colour, especially with your dark hair.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 21/02/2017 00:05

I think people generally categorise eyes as blue, brown or green . Yours are grey.

What colour would you call mine ?

Green eyes are lovely! The nicest I think. Maybe very dark blue also!

The most common eye colour is brown. Half the world's population (including me) has it. My gran had lovely grey eyes but there wasn't a bit of coloured pigment in them. They looked colourless like water.

ScarlettFreestone · 21/02/2017 00:06

I think your eyes are lovely but they look blue in both pictures to me.

Does it matter so terribly?

MimiSunshine · 21/02/2017 00:13

There is a hint of blue although they do look grey and people don't really look too closely at other people's eye colour so it maybe that in certain light or if you were wearing a blue top then the blue notes cane through more to others.

I asked my boyfriend what colour eyes I had at the weekend. He went 'urm... dunno actually' then took a closer look and said in a surprised voice oh green oh but there's another colour what's that?

I have two shades of green and a gold in rings in my eyes which people find very unusual when they notice but to be honest hardly ever do and would probably hazard a guess at me having brown eyes as the colour is darkish. As yours is light they'd probably just go with blue

BoneCruncher · 21/02/2017 00:14

OP the only logical solution to your question is to pop down to your local B&Q and get a colourmatch done

hoddtastic · 21/02/2017 00:14

i think yours are grey. My daughters are purply grey. The colour of pencil lead, never seen anything like them before. Even looking at them people can't say what colour they are. :)

Dontlaugh · 21/02/2017 00:17

Most Medieval literature just raves about grey eyes; the very fact it was mentioned was a clue the woman in question was adored, ethereal and very highly sought after.

user1477282676 · 21/02/2017 00:18

Grey. Beautiful too...my DD has grey eyes...they were blue for ages when she was tiny then they turned that gorgeous stormy colour you've got. Very rare and lovely.

LoupGarou · 21/02/2017 00:18

They look grey to me, I love grey eyes, very beautiful. I have black irises (its even on my medical records that I have black eyes), you can rarely tell them apart from my pupils - I look like an Area 51 escapee.

Wdigin2this · 21/02/2017 00:19

All I know is that mine are green!

ErrolTheDragon · 21/02/2017 00:20

Sarnies - and prob mimi too - ooh, I think thats Central Heterochromia . My dd's are grey with a goldy-brown streak in one.
