When dh has Cereal he drinks the left over milk from the bowl after he finishes. Aibu to think that it's discusting and It's not right or is he to think it's OK and normal to do it?

In the comfort of your own home ? No problem.

I may raise an eyebrow if it was eating breakfast out

Snifftest · 13/02/2017 21:30

Even your description in the OP made me vom a little. I'm with you. It's grim.

Penfold007 · 13/02/2017 21:31

Sorry but as you can't spell 'disgusting' you lost any moral high ground for

parking2017 · 13/02/2017 21:33

Eewwwew

Snifftest · 13/02/2017 21:33

You appear to be unable to finish a sentence there Penfold. Did it fall off your high horse?

I am usually a pendant about such things, but I so vehemently agree with the OP I felt I could let it slide.

SaucyJack · 13/02/2017 21:35

You married it.

Bitofacow · 13/02/2017 21:36

But cereal milk is yummy. I put extra milk on so I can ssssssllllluuuurrrrppp.

Yum.

Topseyt · 13/02/2017 21:36

I am with your DH. I drink it, from the bowl.

If I was in a restaurant I would spoon it until gone, but at home I like to be uncouth and slurp it from the bowl.

Londonsburningahhhh · 13/02/2017 21:36

He should have a spoon and his bowl and take slurps from his spoon with his little finger in the air. He doesn't want to waste milk and you do. I wonder which one would irritate me more wasting milk or drinking from the bowl?????

Batgrrrl · 13/02/2017 21:36

Of course you drink the milk from the bowl Confused

skankingpiglet · 13/02/2017 21:38

IndianaMokeWoman I'm with you. Milk has no place anywhere near a bowl of cereal. I usually eat mine dry, but can occasionally be convinced to add fruit and/or yoghurt.

RandomDent · 13/02/2017 21:39

Give him a straw.

He's perfectly reasonable. No point in letting it go to waste and using a spoon just isn't the same.

Giddyaunt18 · 13/02/2017 21:41

I hate the milk being left, however I am too classy to drink from the bowl so I use my spoon Wink

BrowsOnFleek · 13/02/2017 21:41

Sorry but if I've counted the calories in e.g 200 ml milk then I am drinking every last bit of it. From the bowl too.

Topseyt · 13/02/2017 21:44

It is true that the French often seem to drink out if what we might call breakfast bowls.

I ended up in a Paris hospital last year. I asked for a cup of coffee to have with my breakfast and it came in a bowl.Grin

PennyPickle · 13/02/2017 21:45

All milk from bowl slurpers here - especially coco pops Grin (Is it allowed to admit to buying coco pops on MN? Or is it considered to be sugary shit? Confused

GoodDayToYou · 13/02/2017 21:45

I think it's fine, so long as he involves you in the deliciousness of it! If he's just being gross, in his own world, without connecting with you, then that is poor form in my book. Also, it's only for home, not for 'best'. Smile

Muddlingalongalone · 13/02/2017 21:46

I hate this - but apparently I'm in the minority.
Dd1 does it & I find it utterly grim. Sadly her father encourages it & I'm led to believe it's also acceptable at breakfast club and I'm the only big meanie who stops her doing it.

Oly5 · 13/02/2017 21:48

Of course you drink milk from the bowl. What's the problem? So
Uptight to care

Summerisdone · 13/02/2017 21:48

It's standard to do that isn't it? I honestly didn't realise some people don't drink the remaining milk

YouHadMeAtCake · 13/02/2017 21:52

*disgusting

YABU seeing as actually, it doesn't affect you one bit. My DC always did this and their GP used to whine about it. They got the same reply, it doesn't affect you and is none of your business.
