I never feel cheerful about celebrities passing away, I did not know her, but she always striked me as a very sad girl, and her death is a bit of shock. She had so many opportunities, but did not seem to find her place. RIP Tara.

She was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year.

She did always seem troubled. So young, so sad.

IWantAnotherBaby · 08/02/2017 16:09

Its "breaking news" everywhere right now. Unexplained death, so not necessarily caused by her brain tumour... Poor woman.

SalemSaberhagen · 08/02/2017 16:10

It is tasteless to make it into an AIBU.

Fluffyemenent · 08/02/2017 16:11

It is very unlikely it was her pituitary adenoma that caused her death

GrumpyOldBag · 08/02/2017 16:22

BBC report here, doesn't sound as if she died from the brain cancer:

dingdongthewitchisdead1 · 08/02/2017 16:26

Oh dear! That's very sad

Rugbyplayersarehot · 08/02/2017 16:28

It's always sad when someone dies relatively young. Her poor family too. Poor lass.

bulletjournal · 08/02/2017 16:30

as "chat" is part of the "fun and game" topic, it did not really feel appropriate there either.

AIBU makes it about you though, the OP. This is about a person who has sadly died.

I often get the impression peopel want to rush to be the first to post on here when someone famous dies - for the benefit who don't get their news primarily from a news source.

ilovesooty · 08/02/2017 16:36

There's always the news section, but it's sad.

Yes, she was very young.

ZackyVengeance · 08/02/2017 16:36

offs leave the op alone. people use AIBU for everything now.
yes Op its very sad

oldbirdy · 08/02/2017 16:36

It very carefully doesn't say she died from a brain tumour. Hers was a non malignant pituitary tumour so I guess the jury has to be out on what has happened. I am sorry about it, no age at all.

bulletjournal · 08/02/2017 16:38

Ilovetorrentialrain

as we are all connected to internet to access the forum, I don't think posters are likely to be unaware of the news and current events.

I have reported my thread awhile ago, because it does sound insensitive. I am work, and had to go hiding in the bathroom because I felt upset for bizarre reasons and wanted to speak with someone. Obviously I can't discuss in real life. I did not mean to be offensive at all.

Shock I had no idea. She was so young.

I remember her dating a millionaire and for her birthday he gave her one thousand pounds to buy something. She was so furious she took the money gave the lot to a homeless gut begging outside Harvey Nichols. She was mad because her boyfriend didn't tale the tone to choose her somethinf and insulted her with cash.

passingthrough1 · 08/02/2017 16:48

I think it's sad. I'm not sad as such when older people who have done amazing things and have had great lives die because dying in old age after a fulfilled life isn't really a sad thing, it's something we all hope for.
TPT was young and also so troubled, what a waste.

Ilovetorrentialrain · 08/02/2017 16:48

I'd have to disagree - the posters saying 'oh dear' 'oh no' etc show they've seen it here first.

passmethewineplease · 08/02/2017 16:49

Such a shame, 45 is no age.

CoolJazz yes I think it makes a huge difference. People on here are guessing and speculating (or downright stating as fact something which s not) as the cause of death. Just get news from the BBC and stop gossiping about a real person with a real family who has died. I find it awful.

CoolJazz I rest my case. Depressing.
