@exLtEveDallas, he's not a minor celeb though, and he's someone who profits from self-promotion and publicity. Examples of his behaviour are outlined in the BlackSea link, which looks like part of an investigation which may even be published in the Sunday Times tomorrow.
According to this report, DB agreed to visit a UNICEF project in Asia because it was good for his charitable image. He then managed to arrange it so that the visit would coincide with paid sponsorship activities for luxury hotels and drinks companies. One of these sponsors provided a private jet to get him there, so DB decided to invoice UNICEF for the £6k they would have had to spend on business class flights if he hadn't been provided with the jet.
According to the report, DB was also quite insistent about not wanting to donate his own money to charity, even a fund set up in his own name, going against the advice of his own PR people.
He comes across as incredibly greedy and self-serving. Mind you, with the likes of Philip Green among the ranks of the knighted, perhaps DB would make a perfect candidate
