I thought he came across rather well on Desert Island disks the other day, but AIBU to be glad that DB has been exposed?

I've always regarded the Beckhams as a textbook example of much that's wrong with our celeb-culture, accumulating vast wealth and renown on the coat-tails of very mediocre talent.

Now it seems the charitable work was all in aid of securing a knighthood.

Meh, I can't get worked up about this kind of stuff. So people do things for not entirely altruistic reasons (isn't that true of the vast majority) and David got a bit frustrated with the awarding committees (so sue him). I also enjoyed his comments on Katherine Jenkins.

The DF works inversely for me with the Beckhams. The more they stick the knife in, the more disposed I am to like the couple.

It's the finances I find mind boggling. Only read part one a couple of days ago, may have been wiped by now.

It was decided to form a new charity, DB7. He was advised that he should kick start it with his own money, which he refused to do, so it was put to him that he could fulfil one of two engagements and donate the fee.
This is where my eyes are out on stalks. Attend the opening of the African Games and a dinner for 1m GBP, or a second very similar for the same sum.

1m to fly to Africa plus all expenses paid and for what, 5 days including flights. These top celebrities are the most over indulged, spoilt brats of the Universe. Yet still they desire accolades such as awards and Knighthoods.

I know the pr people for this brand very well. Know that everything you see, hear and read about them and their offspring had been carefully crafted and placed. Despite having more money than they could ever spend they are telling from the lack of interest in Eldest son. They are now moving into other offspring and received bad feedback from the recent Xmas single debacle. This brand are fake as shit and I suspect the injunction is all about their greed and his affairs. It's been well mown in many circles that they are only together now for the exposure, the brand and channeling the song brand through their kids.

I've met him. He's beyond arrogant, petulant, uneducated, inpatient and vulgar. She's not so bad but receives most of the flak from the public.

There are many Countries involved so I get it's serious. Celebrity + Charity.
I bet there's many phone calls tonight between "charity activists" and their agents.
I just hope the Law doesn't prevent us knowing the truth.

Sorry it should have read that they are reeling from the lack of interest in their eldest. They are in a state of panic at the complete lack of public interest in their kids. They are trying to take the advice if good pals the ramsays who have managed to land one daughter a chef TV gig and another trying to break into TV in the US. The b's are seething at the lack of ability and interest in the next gen of brand Beckham.

That which has been revealed this far is the very very very tip of the iceberg. The really damaging info is now subject to an injunction.

Did anyone see that programme where he went on a trip with his friends on the motorbike? He was travelling around a remote jungle area with his oldest friends, he was away from his family and seemed to be on a journey to find himself (I didn't know how else to word that!)
He said his whole life, trips had been organised and arranged and this was the first time he just did it himself.
He came across really lonely at the end of the programme, he was on the boat by himself just looking out over the water and he seemed to really miss his family.
Sorry I have no gossip or anything, I just was wondering if anyone else saw that programme too.

What a total scam artist. I always knew he was awful but whenever this family were discussed on mn any critics were shouted down. I doubt he was ever lonely, online forums have been discussing his numerous erm...liaisons ...forr years now. He was awful as a footballer and petulant with no sportsmanship, now he's a petulant no mark who can barely write a proper sentence. What a tool.

Absolutely, just as anyone who criticised Camila Batmanghelidjh was on here. I often wonder if these are the same type of people who fawn over the royal family. This unquestioning adoration and then hostility to anyone who critisizes them or wants to query the wholesome image.

I've met him too - back in the day when Gary Neville was his best friend. He was very sweet, polite and I don't recognise Babbas description at all. Of course it was a long time ago and people change but it's quite sad if that's the case.

I'm not sure either what 'uneducated' has to do with this. David Cameron had the best education money could buy and look what a fool he turned out to be.

My problem with this kind of thing, as this I suppose is directed to the people who have said they like the Beckhams, is that how can we like people who we don't really know? I do wonder how much we see is the truth and how much is what they want people to see?
