Well, apparently you need a gun to take the shooter down. That's the argument. If people open carry guns, then the terrorist will not try it.

Thing is though, there's a chance that people might mistake ordinary citizens carrying a gun for a terrorist. Because that's exactly the kind of thing that would happen.

I hate to think what's coming. I really do. We had Dunblane. 7/7. There's been the incidents in Paris. The mall in Nairobi. All the daily shootings in the Middle East that we hear on the news. When you can buy deadly weapons so easily, well, I am sure people can fill in the gaps.

Posting in all seriousness and after following most of these threads it just seems like he wants to isolate the U.S from proper relations with other world leaders while completely destroying it from within under the guise of Make America great Again.

I feel that the US is just going implode, it's simply terrifying.

I think we should replace Trump with a team of ginger cats. A semi-feral colony who all get on well enough to be bundled together for public appearances; but who cope well enough with humans for said bundling to be possible. If we found one who looks like Crookshanks to act as his face & another long-hair for the ridiculous bouffant I think it would be believable.

They'd be all cosy & safe; we could appoint Someone Sensible to be Scooper Of White House Litter Trays (surely Trump Supporters wouldn't mind Hillary Clinton taking that post?) & if they so HAPPENED to assist the Purresident with things that are tricky when one lacks opposable thumbs & the power of human speech (ok we might need Baldwin [it's him who does Trump on SNL, isn't it?] or a good impressionist, at any rate, to help...) then, well, These Things Happen.

(Full disclosure: I have a VERY high temperature; a wild imagination; & noticed earlier that poor Crookshanks does look a TINY bit Trumpesque if caught at the wrong
angle... and am also getting a bit desperate...)
