To think this window display is inappropriate?

Thanks for explaining that Fenella

"What do you expect them to do?" sounds like you were saying complaining was a waste of time.

RestlessTraveller · 09/02/2017 09:25

The whole world does not revolve around children. Adults are consumers too and if your child does ask about this it's up to you to explain in a way that you feel appropriate.

I am so innocent. I saw that and thought nothing of it.
There is a shop called Space N.K which regularly has a sign saying Spa.n.k me e.g. which I think is worse.

Datun · 09/02/2017 09:38

"Lick me until I scream" (ice cream)

Am I missing something or is that a reference to oral sex? Given it's for Valentine's Day, not selling ice creams?

On a card? Yes, fine. As a massive window display, not so much.

nosyupnorth · 09/02/2017 09:43

lmao get a grip op and all the others who find this so scandalous - how can you have dirty enough minds to see the innuendo in this (and apparently think it's impossible to read any other way) and yet be such prudes as to be bothered by it

would you all cover your little darlings ears if you heard somebody singing 'i scream you scream we all scream for ice-cream' lest they... i don't even know what.....

Kpo58 · 09/02/2017 09:44

It's still better than the frozen yogurt brand called Snog. I refuse to buy it due to the stupid name.

At least they didn't make the ice cream into a vagina shape.

Elendon · 09/02/2017 09:52

It's crap. Not funny. Not in the slightest bit romantic either. Women are licked and men are sucked. To do both until they scream seems to be abusive and I wouldn't want my children hear either in their home.

When I lived in Northern Ireland as a child an ice cream used to be called a poke.

Poke me until I scream takes on a whole new meaning now doesn't it?

Elendon · 09/02/2017 09:54

Of course it's innuendo Nosy , if you can't see this you are either very naive or disingenuous.

Purplebluebird · 09/02/2017 10:00

Doesn't get my tail in a fluff at all.

Tardigrade001 · 09/02/2017 19:33

The more I think about this, the creepier it seems. My problem is not that children will accidentally come across a sexual innuendo joke intended for adults. This is not intended for adults, at least not adults only. A large proportion of their customer base is under 16 and they are advertising TO them using references to oral and anal sex, because that's 'fun and cheeky'. Who the hell thinks that using sex to advertise to children is fun and cheeky?
