Does anyone else feel this clusterfuck is seriously seeping into upsetting them in their daily lives?
I have seen that a lot of people responded in the affirmative to this, but I have to be honest and say no.
That's not to say that you're all wrong, but here's my perspective on everything-
I've had doomsday/death anxiety for pretty much my entire adult life. It started in yr6 learning about ww2 and just carried on. Recently, I seem to have made my peace with all of this and have a much more positive view on everything.
Whilst immersed in these threads and reading the real-time updates of this shitstorm, yes, it does make me worried and anxious and afraid for our entire way of life. BUT when I step back, take a break and do something else I have to remind myself that, while it is all of those things that I felt before, it's also changeable and predictable and positive things can come out of all this.
Think about the huge resistance movements that are springing up. Maybe I give people far too much credit, but I believe we are more well informed and vocal now than we have ever been, therefore it can't end in the doom and gloom that so many people are 'predicting'.
I'm not naive and understand the gravity of the situation, but I have to not let it affect my daily life as I would just be hiding under the duvet all day crying!
Or summed up by OYBBK a few posts back!
