I'm not a Trump-lover ... but how about a challenge, MN? Instead of a thread full of woe, let's find something nice to say about the POTUS. Anything. I'm sure you can if you try! Let's see how far we can make it. I'll start.

I really like the strength of his hair products...

Infact, it's pretty genius. He run when no one was going to vote for Hilary. If he went against Obama, he wouldnt have stood a chance. He played the long game and it paid off. Probably why he's so rich.

JaneEyrehead · 20/01/2017 15:42

His tiny mouth means he always wins at Car Share's Lady Diana game

Elendon · 20/01/2017 15:42

Considering the amount of abuse he gets, he has been surprisingly restrained.

I would say considering the amount of abuse he gives, we have been surprisingly restrained.

Elendon · 20/01/2017 15:46

Clinton won the popular vote by 2.5 million. There is enough evidence to suggest that Russia interfered with the election process (so hardly a fair fight). He didn't just stand against Clinton.

Trump beat several prominent Republican governors, including Dubya's son, to stand for President on behalf of the Republican Party, despite having no political experience.

Littletabbyocelot · 20/01/2017 15:49

i like the fact that noone will be able to say we dont need femnism when a man can openly admit to assualting women and (insert any one of 100s of relevant facts) and still be elected president.

Apparently his wife is far more suited to the role of first lady than say Michelle Obama, because she will be happy sticking to duties like picking china patterns. So he picked well.

I would like to compliment him on his shrewdness. He managed to appeal to a completely disenfranchised group with whom he shares nothing but colour & convince everyone hes a conservative family man based on no evidence.

mothertruck3r · 20/01/2017 15:51

Well at least he is not Obama or Hillary! He's got that going for him!

TheMysteriousJackelope · 20/01/2017 15:55

I like how decisive he is. He's got 200 executive orders to sign starting Monday. These are changes he can make without benefit of Congress. Republicans complained about the 350 or so executive orders Obama signed (still less than Reagan though) but 200 from Trump is perfectly fine.

Assuming a 10 hour work day that's 20 an hour. He must be able to speed read and have telepathic abilities to suck in all the knowledge he needs to make a rational decision on those documents.

Very impressive.

TheMysteriousJackelope · 20/01/2017 15:59

I like how he's appointed people to make the Federal Government smaller.

Betsy DeVos (secretary for education) thinks there shouldn't be public education and schools should have guns on site to fight off invading grizzly bears - that must be a real problem in Detroit which is where her previous experience of screwing up public schools comes from.

Carson thinks there shouldn't be a Housing and Urban Development department.
Pruitt thinks there shouldn't be an EPA.
The head of the Department of Labor thinks there should be a DOL stopping companies from faking employee work hours and not paying them wages or over time.

Republicans will be so happy, no environmental, education, safety, or work conditions oversight. It'll make America great again, just wait.

motherinferior · 20/01/2017 16:45

He has empowered the ignorant, the incoherent and the inexpert. You don't need to know anything! Just shout! And bigly! If someone contradicts you by knowing what they are talking about, shout louder! And you too could be POTUS!

SinisterBumFacedCat · 20/01/2017 16:53

It's making me quite proud of the fact that in the U.K we don't bother with all this bollocks, just a trip to the queen and a press conference outside Number 10. What a load of pompous bullshit this is, how much does it cost?

missmoohoo · 20/01/2017 17:00

I see a resemblance

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 20/01/2017 18:00

Sadly his mum was Scottish

aquashiv · 20/01/2017 18:02

He does say the things that many people really think and feel.

Maybe it's time for these to see that happens when the dark side is in power.

The80sweregreat · 20/01/2017 18:10

He uses Wolfie Smith's soundbites.

( young people wont get this)

TheMysteriousJackelope · 20/01/2017 18:51

The80s Power to the people!

Notapodling · 20/01/2017 18:51

His twitter account is first class entertainment. The man is so easily goaded.

TonaldDrump · 20/01/2017 18:52

I like his wife, ivanka.

HamletsSister · 20/01/2017 18:54

He has a really good system for getting stains out of sheets.

PuntCuffin · 20/01/2017 18:56

I like that he has a full range of comedy facial expressions which he obviously thinks are statesman like, when they are a actually just gurning.

Arkhamasylum · 20/01/2017 19:05

I compliment him on showing how far a white man can go in this world, if he only inherits hard enough.

lbsjob87 · 20/01/2017 19:07

Presumably bragadocious will now enter the English language and score me loads in Scrabble..
