Angry boiler issues, and speaking to a plumber who says the above.

Sorry just because I have a vagina that makes me incapable of doing it myself?

AIBU, or should I have said F you!

"Just the common reality I'm afraid and those taking offence need to grow up.."
Wrong. Those making stupid comments like the OPs workman, and yours above, are the immature ones.

Can you imagine a taxi driver saying it?

garlicandsapphire · 20/01/2017 22:16

Fuckem. Get them to realise who's going to pay the bill. Whomever you hire to sort a problem - they do it. Earn the fee or fuck off...

Unless people are challenged when they say sexist (and equally racist, disablist, homophobic or other stupid/unpleasant) things they will go on saying them. People who don't actually hold the view being challenged will probably stop saying the stupid thing they are parroting from somewhere fairly quickly whereas those who believe their opinion will simply learn not to talk openly about it, but either way it's a win. It's always worth challenging stupidity and unpleasantness unless you feel your safety is at risk.

It's not just plumbers. What about all the media around Theresa May the other day, not about her speech but her hair and outfit. The press had a field day and then Chris Evans talked a length about it the next morning. Disgraceful.

I'm a petrol head but very naturally blonde hair with a decent bust. Managed to get an amazing part exchange deal where the guy offered me more money for my car that needed a new timing chain and exhaust. He didn't even check the engine. I basically said I couldn't make a decision until my (no idea about cars) dh gave his opinion...I signed straight away! Lol.
