AIBU... Fuming!!

My DP bought me a pair of GHDs for Christmas, I've used them a handful of times for 10 mins and today they have broke! To say I'm fuming is an understatement, they haven't even lasted a month!

Luckily there is a 12 month warranty and I can send them to be repaired, but now I have no faith in them and don't believe they're going to last very long! Angry

I want a refund and want to buy a different brand but I know I'm not entitled to one Sad

If they brake again after being repaired can I demand a refund and claim they're not fit for purpose?

just gone to which they have this to say
www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/what-do-i-do-if-i-have-a-faulty-product

"You have the right to reject your item and get a refund within 30 days of purchase."

My first pair of GHDs have been going over ten years! I bought a second pair that were dual voltage as my originals weren't - they lasted 12 months plus one week Angry

Third pair have been going for four months now and no signs of blowing up, touch wood!

Get them repaired. They're a good brand if they're real.

OP you are perfectly enitled to fume. Fume away. Next time posting in SandB would probably remove the pointless anti-fumming posts. Grin Mine have been going strong for 15 years. Maybe they have gone the way of Hunter wellies, i.e. used to be good quality, traded on the name, reduced quality... Hope you get satisfaction.
