I recon there must be loads of famous people on here! Holly Willoughby - totally on here. Everyone from Loose Women - here! Are you a famous? If you are then NC and then post and NC back - I'd love to know!

OP posts:
Lndnmummy · 15/01/2017 11:59

Nope but one of my closest friends is a very well known actress. I love to boast (about her talent, not that I know her obv)because she is awesome, has worked her socks off and Im so proud of her!

EltonJohn · 15/01/2017 12:01

Yes.

BadKnee · 15/01/2017 12:01

Thinkingofausername1 - no need to do that. But having to be dressed to be papped all the time must be exhausting!

Tim Berners Lee is famous - and doesn't do drugs/drunkeness as far as I know. Nor does Mark Z of FB fame, or Bill Gates, or The Archbishop of Canterbury or Angela Merkel. Grin

Pop stars, reality stars and some tv/film stars - you may be right.

Fame used to happen, (more often), for something worthy of note whereas in the multi-media world it tends to be for being visible.

ILookLikeJenniferAnniston · 15/01/2017 12:07

I look like someone famous, in fact I've been told I look like a few schlebs. Not spilling though Wink

Does this count?

BadKnee · 15/01/2017 12:07

Right - got to go as the car is coming to pick me up in half an hour. Going to Lunch with a lot of Very Famous People! Pics in the DM tomorrow I expect Wink

Libitina · 15/01/2017 12:11

I'm only famous in that I've been published in a niche journal on two continents.

teachergirl2011 · 15/01/2017 12:12

I am in my profession. regularly in the news, etc

stiffstink · 15/01/2017 12:12

A former X Factor contestant blocked my drive once. I wasn't going out though so I didn't start a thread on here or draw a diagram with a big X on it. I bitterly regret not taking that opportunity.

Ginnotgym · 15/01/2017 12:19

I'm not, but a good friend of mine is very good friends with Kate and Wils- they were at her wedding.

I was beside myself!

I know after years of being friends with this girl (who is very dear to me) not to talk to her about them 🤐

Goingtobeawesome · 15/01/2017 12:25

One of my children has been on tv and some of you were very unkind about them and someone else said they used to know me and was a bitch abour me.

I was in the paper a while ago and it would have been national news if a terrorist act hadn't happened.

I'm published, twice.

GimmeeMoore · 15/01/2017 12:28

One of my dc best mate has famous parent,we do play dates etc.no biggie
Our Kids aren't bothered by it,neither am i.dont discuss it
Initially she was fawned upon by all the schoolgate wags but didn't reciprocate

Sparklingbrook · 15/01/2017 12:35

I can't really think of a celebrity that I would be really excited about if they were on here.

It's all just people and their opinions. Doesn't matter what they do for a living.

zeezeek · 15/01/2017 12:37

My father is minor Royalty and so I'm very minor Royalty - but also a republican.

I've had a few books published over the years using a pen name rather than my own.

Badcat666 · 15/01/2017 12:38

I'm so famous if I told you who I was I'd have to kill you.

Only kidding.... or AM I? waggles eyebrows

GimmeeMoore · 15/01/2017 12:44

As I see there's famous with ability and famous without ability.fame in itself isn't equal
Plenty really good authors, actors will never get famous.plenty rotten actors/authors are famous
I mean let's face it Kate Hopkins is famous for being boorish, and provocative.thats all.shes click bait

CupofTeaTime · 15/01/2017 13:03

Is anybody going to admit who they really are ?!!

ImBrian · 15/01/2017 13:07

I think you'll find I'm Brian!

I was on Byker Grove in the 90s.

Carnabyqueen · 15/01/2017 13:21

My DH's cousin has a famous husband from a moderately successful 90's indie band. You would all have heard of them.

SisyphusHadItEasy · 15/01/2017 13:28

Am I famous?

According to my kids, I am the worst human to ever darken the earth. That should count for famous.

I am a legend in my own mind, I tell you.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 15/01/2017 13:34

No but I have been on the national news for nefarious skullduggery. I was staggering around Ibiza, scantily clad and a bit drunk handing out fliers for a club during a story about the island being awash with drug taking Brits Blush My parents were delighted....

Sixweekstowait · 15/01/2017 14:08

Will I be famous in the summer when the film 'Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool'is released because the lead male character is based on one of my DH's cousins and he (DH'sC) wrote the book and the screenplay? Stellar cast, none of whom we'll be meeting but it will be odd going to see the film.

Sixweekstowait · 15/01/2017 14:09

PS my husband has about 150 cousins so don't think I've outed myself!

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 15/01/2017 15:59

I actually inspired an iconic song! Truly.

Fair few years ago, mind you. Memory's a bit hazy. I blame overdoing the drugs, booze and women.

Was a posh knees-up (maybe on a boat?). Got there late.

As I recall, I was wearing a piece of orange material round my neck and my hat was on proper wonky (hey, don't judge, it was all the rage).

Anyhoo...was jigging around and subtly checking myself out in a reflective surface, minding my own business. But was noticed by a rude woman who sniggered, before muttering loudly that I was "an arrogant tosser"!! Blooming cheek!!

Turns out she was Carly Simon. Who knew?

Funny thing, fame...

Bettercallsaul1 · 15/01/2017 16:03

So you probably think that song was about you?

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 15/01/2017 16:23

Grin Don't you?
