Two cars are parked in OP's drive. OP parks (blocking them) on the pavement with a note on her car to the traffic warden as between 10 and 1pm (could be wrong) there are parking restrictions on the street.

Shortly after Nicholas her neighbour comes round moaning to say it's his wife's carers car who he has told to park there to avoid a ticket, and another neighbour unknown to OP called Caroline.
Carer is embarrassed but is allowed to continue to park there to avoid a ticket as tight arse Nicholas won't pay the 40 quid a year permit. Caroline's car is thereafter blocked in by op's DH and Caroline never comes to her her car...

I think it'll be an anticlimax. Caroline will just be watching the house, waiting for OP to go out, then running off to get her car. Though good luck trying to hide a whole car, Caroline.

Really OP should have installed penguin bollards last night, so that Caroline would definitely have to knock to be let out. If only there were some emergency mumsnet penguin bollard installation fund.

If Caroline IS a mumsnetter, what could she do to make the situation better? Move the car and leave a box of chocolates/wine on the doorstep?
