I realise that her children are pretty out of control, her husband is a bit useless and she seems a little disorganised, but I love her house, and she seems to have a pretty good work/life balance. She also seems to manage to keep her weight down while drinking red wine every day and eating normal food. She also looks pretty young for her age. Aibu to want to be her??

YANBU... But I bet there is things about you she would be jealous of-give yourself a break

WhereTheFuckIsMyFuckingCoat · 09/01/2017 12:41

I doubt it. Maybe my hair is thicker than hers I suppose.

But imagine having her sister. And the heartbreak of Dad's dementia Sad

NapQueen · 09/01/2017 12:42

Their messy house always makes me feel ok about mine!

She would almost certainly be a MNer

Karen makes me laugh so hard.

WhereTheFuckIsMyFuckingCoat · 09/01/2017 12:44

Her dad makes me sad, and her sister makes me grateful for mine.

I think the mess in her house is organised chaos, whilst mine is just chaos!

They keep the garden nice without any apparent effort. I'd love to know her secret.

yoowhoo · 09/01/2017 12:48

Is it back on? I love that programme. She mentions mumsnet in the first series I believe!

Mia1415 · 09/01/2017 12:48

No YANBU! I want to be her too. I'd love that crazy family life (and a DH)

Gentlelope · 09/01/2017 12:50

Eugh. A resounding no. I know it's popular but I find it the least funny programme in the whole world.

LuciaInFurs · 09/01/2017 12:50

Yanbu. I'm 25 and childless and would switch lives with her in a heartbeat.

WhereTheFuckIsMyFuckingCoat · 09/01/2017 12:52

I'm watching the box set again. I have a dh and four dcs but I always feel woefully inadequate when I watch it.

YANBU, I love that show and love her!

witsender · 09/01/2017 12:52

I love it, but the recent one with the car crash and disabled lady was seriously uncool.

BertrandRussell · 09/01/2017 12:53

I would like her hair.

DesolateWaist · 09/01/2017 12:55

But they must be in a mountain of debt though. How can they afford that house, in London on their wages.

Daisyfrumps · 09/01/2017 12:56

but the recent one with the car crash and disabled lady was seriously uncool.

How so?

WhereTheFuckIsMyFuckingCoat · 09/01/2017 12:56

Funnily enough, I think her hair is the only single thing I don't envy.

Where she's married to that goon though, bugger that eh Wink

ladymariner · 09/01/2017 12:58

I can't bear her, she absolutely infuriates me! Each to their own Grin

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 09/01/2017 12:59

Really? She's so down trodden and unfulfilled.

SirChenjin · 09/01/2017 13:00

I do love that show, simply because it reminds me of my family - chaotic house, head in the clouds husband, daft kids, and SIL with no kids who doesn't work but who Knows Everything about juggling children and work whilst writing books that no-one will read ("it's not a book, it's a portal" sums her up).

OTOH, there is no way a teacher's salary and her very p/t whatever it is she does job would allow them that lifestyle and house, so it's a bit unrealistic.

Servicesupportforall · 09/01/2017 13:04

Have loved it from the first episode but it just got better and better as kids aged.

Loved the Christmas special.

I have that sister Sad

VintagePerfumista · 09/01/2017 13:05

God no, she's pathetic.

He is actually much better.

And the whole thing should have stopped once the dreadful kids stopped being cutesy. Funnily enough, the least cutesy one (Jake) is now holding his own, but Karen and Ben make Ginny Weasley look like Meryl Streep.

This year's Christmas "special" was a cringefest. It was embarrassing to watch.

NerrSnerr · 09/01/2017 13:09

Is their house messy? Eek. I always assume they bought the house pre-children when houses were cheaper.

zen1 · 09/01/2017 13:10

Is actually filmed inside a real house or a studio? It always looks very realistic.
