Aibu to want to be the mum from outnumbered?

I realise that her children are pretty out of control, her husband is a bit useless and she seems a little disorganised, but I love her house, and she seems to have a pretty good work/life balance. She also seems to manage to keep her weight down while drinking red wine every day and eating normal food. She also looks pretty young for her age. Aibu to want to be her??

I think I'm raising her (mad) children but don't have the house/wine/normal weight :(

Life in Pieces is similar to Modern family and outnumbered. Very current, very funny.

Nooooooo ad infinitum - Cool Dad Phil is my worst nightmare!! (well, perhaps that's a slight exaggeration but I would have killed him dead by now if I was married to him). He reminds me of Annie's Sleazy Boyfriend in Bridesmaids - or how he would have turned out if he'd got married/had kids.

Their house isn't messy. Looks quite together tbh.

Admittedly, I might have killed my children now if Jake, Ben and Karen were mine, so maybe I shouldn't want to be her! Haha.

Her dad on the show is my good friend's late dad! We were all so sad watching at Christmas, because TV unfortunately had to mirror real life. 😢

I think Phil Dunphy has a lovely physique for a man of his age. However I'd rather be Gloria: I'd just look at myself in the mirror all day. And I'd have Cam for a step-son-in-law. Plus I love Jay's dry humour and money .

Sorry OP, I've never watched Outnumbered. Get into Modern Family!

Likeable but wet and with a mundane life - certainly no role model.

The actress is great though she was in a play about an elderly father she's very good.

We LOVE modern family so thanks for life in pieces tip as have been rewatching modern family.

Margot me too envy Gloria's house and relationship with cam - she can keep the doddery husband though eww

I didn't like the Christmas special but I do like Outnumbered. My favourite family in tv at the moment is the Goldbergs but I wouldn't want to be Beverly.

my dd 2 was just like karen on screen growing up, endless awkward questions, long drawn out explanations, she even looks similar...[twilight zone theme now playing in my head] argh !!

This year's Christmas special was awful, though. Jake has developed into a better character but the other two kids are caricatures. Karen used to be lovely.

I would like her kitchen, ours was knocked through in the 80's so we have a galley kitchen and the lounge/diner knocked through the other way round is much nicer as I'm a kitchen dweller...

I liked Karen's character during the xmas special. The premise was that Karen was always ahead of the adults in sussing out things and outsmarting them. There would be no outnumbered without Karen. I wouldn't mind having a daughter who's as smart as Karen. I would be sheepishly proud.

Love Outnumbered & Modern Family. We also love Gavin & Stacey.

Will look out for Life in Pieces.
