Sleepover DISASTER wwyd

It's my dd birthday sleepover and they're still awake shouting and screaming and laughing....discussing fun the next day..that's ok ish.
My big quandary is that at midnight my 3 kids started vomiting and vomiting and vomiting. The younger ones hadn't mixed but when dd felt funny I removed her immediatly. ..and then she started a half hr later and they're upstairs while the party s downstairs.
Now what do I do??? I m so tired I can't fathom it. At midnight I should have called but didn't have the measure of the sickness. They ate the same thing today so it's a bug or poisoning...pretty sick cramps. ..screaming when pain comes etc.

I'm awful but I m finding myself angry that the girls are running riot downstairs (not all to be fair) I ve gone in several times but I just went in and got "when's breakfast...what are we having again?" Which I get as I'd planned a great one...
But to be honest I need to get them home asap in the morning before I burst into tears.
So at 8 I text parents-phone and say kids sick all night...take your dc asap in case it's a bug or what?
The riot would be fine if dc weren't so sick and the sick would be fine if I didn't gave 8 other 10yr olds ....just together it's a mess

Poor dd was so looking forward to this special party and she's a crabby mum who's prob made her unpopular in one night....

Hi OP, read your thread a couple of days ago and just wondered how your DC's are doing, did anyone else catch it or was it food poisoning. Although, just read here that food poisoning can be contagious which I never knew!

Your night just sounded awful, I have a proper phobia of puke so my heart just went out to you, sounded like the night from hell...and that's without the sleepover!!

Awful situation OP - sounds horrific! I have to say though that I would be very upset if one of my kids was at someone else's house with any vomiting bug going on and the parent didn't ring me to collect. Sorry.

The children had food poisoning that's not contagious

what make you think it was food poisoning rather than a D&V virus? Nausea and vomiting sounds much more like a stomach bug

Oh they ate chicken gujons, some you have to cook before eating, you can't eat them straight out of the packet. Were they those?

What is it with sleepovers. My ds had one when he was young and one of his mates peed in his wash basket and while my ds was on one at his house he threw up all night! My dd had one and one of girls was ill and we had to call parents early hours and she cried to come home on the reciprocated sleepover as girl was being mean. Think they should be banned ;)

Sorry, it sounds like a horrible situation, but I imagine it's a bug, contracted at the same time, I've had food poisoning and it generally takes around 24 hours to start. My DC caught a vomiting bug at a party once, and both started vomiting within an hour of each other. I guess you'll find out in the next few days. I would also expect a phone call so I could remove my child from a potentially contagious house

Nothing but sympathy, OP, it sounds hideous. I think you handled the situation very well.

I think the sleepover guests have had a hard time here. 8 excitable 10 year old girls left together hardly supervised (understandably as the op had her hands full) aren't going to quietly go to sleep. I'm sure they did care about their friend - the fact they weren't stunned into silence shouldn't suggest otherwise. 8 is a ridiculous number to have for a sleepover if you want anything like an early night imo.
