So that I get it all to myself to scoff in the kitchen whilst carving the chicken? Crispy, juicy, amazing stuff. Not sure the kids even realise the chicken comes with a skin.......

I love the randomness of the threads that get resurrected Grin

maddie - What are the oysters?! (Am a vegetarian, which hopefully excuses me if this is obvious knowledge.)

Ooh I know what the oysters are, but we call them the jewels.

They a two small little roundish/oblong things that you can kind of pop out from the underside.

They are so juicy and (favourite mn word coming up Grin ) moist.

ILoveMillhousesDad These are sounding suspiciously like chicken testicles.

I was waiting for this. You've both never seen Red Dragon (the prequel to Silence of the Lambs).
The oysters (according to Hannibal Lector)....are when you turn the cold chicken over and just before the wings (on other side of the back), are these two 'nuggets' of meat.

I like your style my dear! For a moment one thought you were one of those dreadfully obsessive mothers who count carrots on the plate.Glad to hear you enjoy a good bit of roasted chicken skin!

I'd love to know why the person who woke the zombie got deleted !

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 15/09/2017 22:12

Roast chicken skin and crackling should NEVER be fed to the children! Or the DH/DP. Roast chicken skin and crackling are perks to be enjoyed ONLY by she (or, grudgingly, he) that cooked the meat!

Said tasty morsels are too precious for small people.

I give it to the dog 😂 She loves me so much.

Cut a couple of slits in the skin, push some sliced garlic and rosemary in, rub the skin with butter and lemon juice and sprinkle with sea salt. The devil himself couldn't get that skin from me...
