After DH & I have now talked about this for the 3rd time I'm appealing to you to tell me if IBU or you would find this minging too......

MIL & her sister own a commercial laundry business they launder towels, bedding etc for hotels, b&b's & holiday cottages etc.

I went to the laundry just before Christmas to drop off some cards etc & took 3 yo DD.

I went to the loo & when I came back MIL was pushing DD round in one of the big laundry carts on wheels full of dirty sheets. They were definitely dirty as having helped out in there before I know things only go in that cart before being washed. Next salute she has DD burrowing down in amongst the washing & playing peekaboo.

Don't get me wrong DD was having a blast but I said something along the lines of 'urgh' they'll be all dirty & DH's aunt said 'oh don't be daft all the kids play it' (she has 6 GKids)

DH thinks I'm being precious but the thought of DD wriggling about in come (& other bodily fluid) stained bedsheets makes me shudder.

Is it just me?

I agree with you. Strangers' used bedding and towels, gross.

Blacksox · 01/01/2017 20:29

Yes, it's disgusting! The sheets will have semen on them - bleurgh!

scruffmacduff · 01/01/2017 20:30

Yuck! Totally agree with you OP Confused

sotiredbutworthit · 01/01/2017 20:32

Argh! That is grim to say the least!

IWantATardis · 01/01/2017 20:32

Agree with you OP.

There could be any sort of bodily fluid in there.

acquiescence · 01/01/2017 20:32

I'm with you. I've worked as a chambermaid....bleugh. The state some people leave sheets in in hotels is shocking.

SoTheySentMeA · 01/01/2017 20:32

That is fucking disgusting. I don't like my kids coming into our bed when the sheets haven't been changed for a few days because of spunk and whatever else may lurk. Strangers bedsheets, wtf!

JimmyChoosChimichanga · 01/01/2017 20:33

That is minging. The more you think about it the worse it gets seriously. I would go stratospheric and I am not a clean freak and was brought up dirty
have an amazing immune system but blimey that is gross!

ineedamoreadultieradult · 01/01/2017 20:33

Yes that is bleugh. Those sheets could have all sorts on them!

laurenmarie88 · 01/01/2017 20:35

TheresABluebirdOnMyShoulder · 01/01/2017 20:39

That is foul. I would be absolutely livid.

ForalltheSaints · 01/01/2017 20:40

YANBU

PeppermintInfusion · 01/01/2017 20:41

I am not a clean freak, but I did briefly work in housekeeping while at uni. I would definitely not be doing that!

GreenTureen · 01/01/2017 20:42

YANBU, rank.

dingdongdigeridoo · 01/01/2017 20:43

Ugh no. I'm very laid back about dirt and germs. But other people's bedsheets? No.

DontTouchTheMoustache · 01/01/2017 20:43

Gross, there are things that can be passed on from sheets, public lice, scabies, bed bugs etc. I would always change bedsheets for guests so can't understand why on earth anyone thinks this is ok?

TigerLily666 · 01/01/2017 20:45

Vile

Floggingmolly · 01/01/2017 20:46

I feel itchy just reading that... Envy

Bluetrews25 · 01/01/2017 20:55

Another non-clean freak here.
But there will be skin flakes, hairs at best.
At worst, threadworm eggs, lice, and body fluids.
Would they do this in a hospital? I think not!

DonutParade · 01/01/2017 20:56

Bloody hell.

GimmeeMoore · 01/01/2017 20:56

If child were playing in own family laundry basket,no problem.as she'd already be exposed to the pathogen
But immersed in laundry cart of other folk pathogens,is quite gross

SENPARENT · 01/01/2017 21:00

Yuk. Can't think why anyone would think this is remotely ok.Confused

Where is the sick Smiley MN?

Ankleswingers · 01/01/2017 21:00

That's beyond disgusting.

I have mega ishoos with cleanliness so this is just hideous IMO.

I would have been furious.
